This is only true for big chain things. Pretty much everywhere in Europe I've been.

Was giving it a try in Salzburg AT for 2 days now. Haven't found a single machine that takes contact less chips so far. Not even big chains

Now failed to buy anything in the linz, AT trainstation where I checked a few selectors and smaller stores.

Just gave it a try in budweis, CZ. Only big chains in the supermarkets had these readers.
