I can't cite where I've seen the statistics, but I recall seeing a similar discrepancy for other races in the United States.

I suppose it's to be expected: women, compared to men, tend to face more pressure from their families (and society) to conform to "tradition."

It seems there must be some race where the opposite's true? Sort of by definition, there have to be the same total number of women as men in heterosexual interracial couples...
