Well the only reason why cash exists at all today is because banking is a mess. Especially if you're poor. So banning cash isn't going to help the poor at all as others have noted. Wake me up when the same Harvard economists get off their butts and make a standard that will make banking for the poor as easy as it is for the rich. Until then, I'm all for cash.
