A mod actually changed the title of a submission I made to include a swear word when I posted an asterisk-laden version of it [1]. So I think you are correct that there is not a swearing policy.

I'd say that the 'original title' policy simply trumps the 'gratuitous swearing policy'.

Just don't attack people personally and you'll be fine, though a user that excessively swears without purpose would likely be chided (is there a keyboard version of Tourette's?)
