Is it me, or is the article vaguely sexist? If it was a man, would they have called out to his gender in the headline? Or are they using the fact she is a woman as a form of clickbait?

This is from yesterday: "Isn't SPACE the final frontier? US Navy reveals the man in charge of America's new $4.3bn super destroyer is Captain James Kirk"

December 4th: "Meet the man Arsenal fans will be hoping can fix Alexis"

December 1st: "Meet the Man in Charge of Building the Linchpin for NASA’s Much-hyped (and Mostly Unfunded) Journey to Mars"

November 30th: "History not favorable to the man in charge of hiring UGA’s next football coach"

"Google hires the man in charge of Tesla's Autopilot feature"

And so on...

No, calling a woman a woman is not sexist. Yes, it is definitely just you.

If you fail to notice this emphasis in the title, then you also probably fail to recognize "articles" that are basically ads.
Re:The woman in charge of the FBI’s most controversial high-... by wellsjohnston on Thursday December 10, 2015 @04:41AM (#10709764)
...but then...but then the ads got smarter...they started taking the form of real news

I have absolutely, 100% seen articles starting with "The man in charge of $THING."

Stop trying to find controversy where none exists.

Re:The woman in charge of the FBI’s most controversial high-... by Rifu on Thursday December 10, 2015 @02:11AM (#10709311)
Presumably the title would then become "The man in charge of the FBI’s most controversial high-tech tools"

Definitely unrealistic.

Clickbait. You need a catchy title if you want your hit piece on encryption to be read...

It's a form of control. If you hate her work you're a sexist. Sorta like hating Soviet was "fascism". Good to see both sides playing this card.
