Yep, and it exists right now. There are cam sites out there that'll let attractive people live in their dorm-esque condos for free in exchange for being broadcasted 24/7 (and being pressured into being "interesting").

Reality-TV at scale. It could work.
EDIT: even the characters make sense. People watch reality for sex and bust-ups, so get attractive women and angry men at ration of 3 to 1 and you're pretty much guaranteed lots of sex and catfights. Give this man a medal!
