I do know it's year 1 of n of me being crazy productive. I was already a good developer. Turns out I'm a damn good business analyst/bot farmer/and developer.
Well, that, and the rapeing and the murdering. And sticking their women in sacks isn't a good look for the theocracy.
Re:Vegemite is not a human right on Monday October 26, 2026 @10:58AM (#50244906)
As a religious person, I find this ruling troubling.

We bend over backward for religious dietary restrictions.

Why not sincerely held secular dietary restrictions and convictions? I also suspect the ruling would have been deliberated more if this wasn't an Australian inmate requesting Australian foods.

Re:FreeDNS on Saturday October 24, 2026 @12:03PM (#50222590)
This is awesome. I'll use them as a backup DNS service; the paid version is significantly cheaper than spinning up a new domain server with the cheapest provider I know.

Not to downplay my own skills, but their OpenBSD infrastructure is a good idea. They'll be up when my DNS servers are down.

That's because Switzerland is full of Swiss people. Their culture values not being savage.

Uh. See a doctor?

I have every type of turd. A sampling of soft, skittles, lumps, explosive, and everything in between. All have been water-soluble.

I take my road car to racing events (SCCA) and get above 112 routinely.

I think Nissan had a workaround I could live with: GPS fencing around known tracks would activate/deactivate the speed governor.

I refuse to use "cis". I'm not a subtype.
Re:Why is every rationalist blog post way too long? on Wednesday October 14, 2026 @07:18AM (#50085857)
I suspect we'll find that some smokers (in addition to being addicted) were self-medicating.

Re:Gleam doesn't compile to Erlang source anymore on Tuesday October 06, 2026 @09:36AM (#49978266)
Don't worry about it.

The lack or excess of commas doesn't upset any reasonable person in the slightest.

Wise.

Continuing a conversation is often just a slow-drip Streisand effect.

Poe's law man... :)
Yes.

I do it locally to nudge political discourse. Doesn't take much to sway a lot of people.

I'm glad I agree with what I'm doing because its effectiveness is terrifying.

It's their country. They can do what they want as long as they don't start another war.

I go to church every week. I try not to swear.

The site is fine, and it's funny to my inner 13-year-old boy.

I'm Lutheran, and we take a very dim view of suicide.

However, RW was going through hell on earth with his diagnoses and the progression of this disease. Many of us don't view what he did as a willful destruction of the life that God gave him.

Some types of mass murder is justifiable if it's done by the correct people

White people are not allowed to have a homeland.

Someone who built Britain before the jet age.
I had a massive stroke. I should be in a wheelchair. I'm mostly fine now.

It's postulated that my multilingual abilities helped, among other things.

If they were just objects, indeed it would look better from a visual standpoint.

I think it would drive most of your fellow humans nuts. My hunch is that people read the bullets as sentence markers, not just a visual flourish.

I'd settle for not having them signed by an autopen in bulk.
Re:The American Religion of Self-Storage Facilities on Thursday September 17, 2026 @10:07AM (#49740991)
One problem that poorer American people have is too much food, leading to obesity.
Another 'gift' of the ADA, making it miserable:

Incorrect urinal height: The urinal rim exceeds the 17-inch maximum height, making it inaccessible for wheelchair users.

Real refugees take their families.

Cheap 4K HDMI/VGA-to-USB input boards and reverse HID cables are available. Betwen the two for $50 - they turn your laptop into a Moniitor, Keyboard and Mouse for a random computer.
