Another firefox user and over the years occasional reader of linked site. I don't believe that was ever the case the background of that word was 2b404e not white. Josh takes great pride in hos work and I doubt he would miss such a thing, also checked of maybe he made a change between you posting and now and no https://github.com/josh-collinsworth/joco-sveltekit no such change regarding styles

similarly the work itself is available here: https://people.umass.edu/klement/pom/
Got it on my second guess. Neat game, neat idea. Others have already given feedback that would make this even better, but I’ll repeat this one: being able to play previous puzzles would be really nice.
Re:Scrcpy v4.0 on Tuesday May 12, 2026 @10:49PM (#48117247)
scrcpy is amazing software something other people might not have realised you could possibly get Dex on some unsupported devices. I got it working on my Galaxy Z Flip 5 using scrcpy --new-display=1920x1080/284
Re:Five Banana Lessons on Wednesday May 06, 2026 @05:06AM (#48034000)
not really, a stem does so only once, as long as new ones grow from the rhizome the tree* will keep on feeding you.

source: have a dozen banana trees* in our yard.

*it's not a tree (it's technically a herb).

Re:14 Killed in protests in Nepal over social media ban on Monday September 08, 2025 @10:12AM (#45168548)
What the protestors did sure, their motive, the state's response wildly different. I'd say more but why bring the US into the discussion.
Re:Way to Address Product Design Failure on Sunday September 07, 2025 @02:15PM (#45160766)
Must be an issue with the site itself when viewed in Firefox on Windows; I've run into the same thing every time someone shares it here on HN. I even disabled uBO thinking that might be the cause, but the behavior didn't change. Eventually, I just gave up trying to access it.

Honestly, it's been disruptive enough that I'm considering adding the site to a personal blocklist, just to avoid running into it again. In the few times it's happened, the only way to recover was force-closing the browser, or waiting an excruciating amount of time and with a poorly responding browser try to close the tab.

Re:303Gen – 303 acid loops generator on Thursday August 07, 2025 @09:33AM (#44824262)
this brought a little more joy to my day, thank you
Ha, this project has had me thinking about that sector more, I'll try and make an effort and go for it in the future, and congrats you have built something truly useful here.
I was building something for a single logistics company; they'd handle clearing and forwarding for their clients as well as transportation if it was required, covered everything from invoicing to fleet management, outsourcing jobs, It's evolved quite a bit considering the initial premise was simply creating quotes and invoicing, maybe It'll end up being a bigger deal in the future
Re:Ask HN: Have you ever regretted open-sourcing something? on Tuesday August 05, 2025 @03:37PM (#44803184)
were you working on an emulator perchance?
This is what I've been looking for! Tried self hosting the bolt.new editor to achieve something like this and it was terrible. Also interested in hearing about the SaaS you were building, I recently built something in that niche coincidentally drafted at first by v0.
Re:Design System Options for Rails on Thursday April 10, 2025 @03:18AM (#43641507)
Hey I've seen you work before I didn't realize it was an outside effort, also second the remark about accesssibility I wish my government could foster a project like that one.
Re:Overengineered Anchor Links on Thursday April 03, 2025 @11:18AM (#43570990)
While you're here the little colored buttons, that expand to show more info are neat (note the first one in this article has template text at the moment) ; and when they expand and highlight the text with color they can clip other nearby text
when the world need him most, he was rate limited

I was skeptical, but the amount I've managed to do with the free tokens and a short amount of time is impressive. I'll see how it does with SvelteKit tomorrow and decide whether they'll make a paying customer out of me.

I didn't realize you had specific the stack you want beforehand.
