Re:10 years bootstrapped: €6.5M revenue with a team of 13 on Tuesday December 23, 2025 @06:28PM (#46370729)
6.5M is Annual Recurring Revenue, so it's 500k per employee.
Re:Show HN: Visualize database schemas with a single query on Saturday August 24, 2024 @08:07PM (#41343035)
Is there a tool with similar presentation, but for database records and not schema? So I could "select * from product where id=5" and it would show me Product card for "hammer" and related card for Brand "ACME", and other related records which might be many/one to one/many relationship etc. In other words - data exploration tool with diagramming like in here?

I just asked chatGPT for this, but human perspective would be great :)

I want to see that too. This is a chance for browser to truly become an user agent, not only a tool for displaying documents (and ads).
E-mails are sent from namecheap.com and are using their e-mail template and their link redirecting system. Some of their infrastructure might be compromised.

So... did you keep it?
I always translate it in my mind to full moons. 30 arcmin == diameter of full moon as seen from earth.

Thank you for writing Accelerando.
If it does happen, whatever the result will be, it'll be a part of your next presidential election.
Re:It's Okay to Panic – 2020 Climate Documentary on Tuesday June 30, 2020 @05:35PM (#23695076)
Subtitles in English, Spanish, and Russian are available.

"There is a popular TV show, “Air Crash Investigation.” Many situations it presents apply to any type of disaster. Various small things happen. More and more of them occur. The situation gets more complicated. At some point the pilots lose control of the aircraft. Then there is no way to avoid the catastrophe. The moment when the disaster can be averted occurs a bit earlier. Many of us don’t realize the climate catastrophe is coming, and this is this very last moment when we can do something about it."

Agreed, the size is perfect and I find it sturdier then Z3 Compact. Aren't there more people like us to justify compact line?

Not affiliated with the creator. I played it once (polish version) with work colleagues - we split into three teams and were brainstorming moves and how to hurt competitors the most. It was fun.
Good point, the military is a necessary evil right now, but it could be disbanded if we learn to solve conflicts the proper way. I see robot vs robot battles as and intermediate step in this direction.
Good point, the thing we allow few hundreds of people rule whole countries seems ridiculous even now.
The addiction to news/social media is similar problem, like smoking, but destroying brain instead of lungs.

Good point with mental health, maybe we should make psychological checkups common thing, like health or dental checkups, every year or so and not when we're sick.

Ask HN: What are we doing wrong now that will be painfully obvious in 100 years?

A lot of examples from the past show that people love to hurt themselves with their lack of knowledge: - bloodletting was a popular medical procedure up to 19th century - adding radium to toothpaste, hair creams and even water in the early 20th century And from much less distant past: - smoking - greenhouse gas emissionsWhat are we doing wrong now, which the general public isn't aware of...

I was driving a car like that few times, with beeping when the limit was exceeded. Annoying, but informative, unless road sign was limiting vehicle mass to 10t and not speed to 10km/h. It was carsharing vehicle, so I didn't bother to turn it off.
