Gitlab SaaS released features at a slow cadence as end user. Great big ball of mud prob from a dev pov. As an end user it worked but never saw new features released

I find splitting hunks a pain. I wish I could just split by line, would be a great feature.
It's spam look at the users history. They just comment the same thing everywhere
Is there a way to generate these SVGs via CLi. I really like it, I also liked vscode's postgres extension which can do similar things although locked to vscode, but again no exportable cli option so you can store it in a repo.
Love the site. I do wonder why waze hasn't adopted the UK govt new API to give better fuel info as you drive.

I prefer Google maps but they never had petrol prices....

Any Waze Devs here? Tried to raise a feature request but it was such a pain

Why not perses?

@ingve I'm interested in your plan for your new TRVs. Why would you check the temperature of the nest hub if the TRV is in a different room? Or do you also have "nest sensors" and those report to the nest hub?

Would love to see a blog post about HA and TRVs

Two years later, I've experienced the same issue as someone else https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Apple/Urgent-Help-Needed-iPhon...

Ask HN: What's Your Experience with eSIMs?

As a tech enthusiast, I'm always excited to dive into the latest advancements, but sometimes, new technology comes with its own set of challenges. Unfortunately, these challenges can turn a fun experience into a frustrating ordeal, especially when the surrounding systems aren’t quite as reliable as they should be.Recently, I decided to upgrade my SIM plan on O2, the UK's largest mobile network...

Another term for this is delivering vertical slices. I like the way this explains that.
That's like most of Grafana's documentation
Have you tried the rendered manifests pattern ? https://akuity.io/blog/the-rendered-manifests-pattern/

I agree 100%. I also like using FF only. Reviewing commits is part of the code review process - their to title, description and code. If the commits are not atomic and clear I don't approve the merge request (MR); I believe the MR is a full snapshot of what will go to main.

It's so frustrating to see 7 commits for one MR and it's a 10 line change.

Re:New Grafana Loki UI: No LogQL Required on Tuesday April 09, 2024 @04:04PM (#39983647)
Grafana cloud is better for querying logs. Grafana cloud is probably a bit better for querying metrics. Grafana cloud is terrible at finding traces or even loading them. Datadog is lightyears ahead. For alerting I feel datadog has better features but is overwhelming with all the different options.

grafana is very quirky for searching for traces. And has a huge learning curve.

Delta is a drop in replacement with git diffs. Why is this not possible with difftastic? I.e it suggests to create aliases etc https://github.com/dandavison/delta
I've had my eye on Bruno for a while but this issue with path parameters is somewhat annoying. https://github.com/usebruno/bruno/pull/484
