same :) Although, I wonder if building it is more fun than actually playing it then

And I have to add that the Wololo tournament was insane and even a spectacle for people who have barely played the game.
or: Increase revenue!
same process, same near heart attack - especially some days ago I had malicious activity on my platform and thought that now they actually found something.

Apparently you can trigger an Action (e.g. prevent uploads) when the billing alert triggers, but then my platform wouldn't work anymore, just because AWS had an issue. Also insane that Amazon still hasn't send an email to clarify.

Same - just had some malicious bots running through my platform last week and really thought they found a security hole after all. Even though the amount sounded ridicoulus, I got quite nervous and a very bad feeling when I logged-in AWS and saw that price.
Re:Gemini 3.1 Pro on Thursday February 19, 2026 @12:14PM (#47076211)
true, whenever I ask Gemini to help me with a prompt for generating an image of XYZ, it generates the image.
The other day I read some old blog posts of mine (~2016) and they contain "em dashes". According to you they were all written by AI.
I have built something similar for kids once, also using tensorflow: a game where you control a goal keeper with your body. Optionally kids (ok and adults) can color the goal keeper(https://dibulo.com/world/frutball

Tensorflow.js made it easy and it was quite fun to build. I still use it for breaks, where I want to move a bit and have fun

I would try using AI to book flights - then double check if I can't get a better offer. Do this a couple of times and when I see AI is as good or even better at getting me flights, then sure, why not use it.

and not to forget the soundtrack masterpiece, which until today gives me goosebumps.
Re:Swiss vs. UK approach to major tranport projects on Friday August 15, 2025 @08:00AM (#44911298)
I live in Switzerland since 10 years and I am always - not only amazed to read about how the Swiss gov / people tackle things, but experience it first hand in my daily life. Above all the train system is very interesting. From the smooth timetables to even the smallest details (E.g the acronyms sound or music notes in trains is based on the railway abbreviations SBB / CFF / FFE). I even made a post about it when creating a "Swiss train world": https://medium.com/@franzeus/building-an-interactive-colorin...
Re:Secuso – Our Farewell from Google Play on Saturday August 02, 2025 @05:22AM (#44765989)
Totally agree - I have a platform with an app which hardly changes but I constantly need to do maintenance which doesn't help my platform or is a gain for my users.

I found https://dibulo.com - where you (ok and kids) can do it at home :)

Show HN: Interactive coloring and learn about space (for kids)

https://dibulo.com/world/space

Hi there,we have just launched our new space world, where kids (and often also grown ups) color planets, rockets, astronauts and then bring them alive on a screen.Additionally to the coloring-fun you learn interesting facts about all kinds of space things.Right now the facts are all in English, but soon more languages are gonna be supported.Happy coloring!

Love it! Are there stats on how many people scrolled to the end? :)
Well done - I like the style of the page and simplicity!

We recently created one too, where you get a printable version: dibulo.com/editor - the next step will be to bring the templates to life again.

You may want to give dibulo.com a try. We also launched a photo -> coloring page, but we will go one step further that you can bring it to life again.
I have built something similar (without AI)which lets a group of children build a world together with their colored templates: dibulo.com - We have lots of schools / kindergartens using it.

Re:Sam 2: Segment Anything in Images and Videos on Tuesday July 30, 2024 @03:26AM (#41106836)
Would love to use it for my startup, but I believe it is to self-host on a server with GPU? Or is there an easy to use API?
That's sweet! Like the UI and threads approach.

How does it generate 3d models?

Btw there is also https://frvr.ai for more casual games

Re:Ask HN: Why Did Medium.com “Fail"? on Saturday February 11, 2023 @02:01AM (#34750230)
I realized that I never read anything on Medium. I use it solely as my private travel blog, which is then read by family members, close friends and my nostalgic future me. The reason I like to use medium for that is that it is very easy to add content. The two biggest issues I have with Medium is that pictures can not be set fullsize anymore and that there is a (for me) useless sidebar. Not only are you now limited on how to present your content, but it adds a lot of distraction.
Very cool and great start!

I tried it and I wonder how I could generate more images. I made a story and only had one image.

I would also love to print it out as a book (don't see myself reading a book to a kid on a laptop / tablet) and that every page would have an image. Would also be good if I could define which content should be represented as an image.

Keep up the great work!

I am highly interested in the Frontend position, but it doesn't seem to be listed on the website. Thank you!
Wow, this is how a digital trip to a museum should be! Really well done and interesting - not giving too much information at the same time.
Re:Airbnb’s design to live and work anywhere on Friday April 29, 2022 @04:37AM (#31202815)
I hope they add a "remote working approved" tag and filter, just like the "superhost".

I have been working remotely since almost a year now in several European countries and to filter out AirBnBs, which offer a decent desk and have stable internet takes hours. The "workstation" filter can not be trusted and neither the "has Wifi", which doesn't say anything about the quality.

An internet speed test should be required to be done by the host. This way I can avoid having to ask about the internet every time before booking - which takes sometimes half a day for getting a response.

Yes, to this day.

Thanks! :)

Re:Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning (2013) on Wednesday July 28, 2021 @01:33PM (#27986561)
This article actually "saved my life". I read it back then in 2013 and in 2014 I almost drowned.

Just before I felt that something was very wrong I remembered that this post said that if you drown it is already too late to scream for help. So I shout to my friend, who was also with me in the water, that I am about to drown. He then tried to help me but then he struggled too because of the current and the strong waves which came out of nowhere. It took us a lot of effort to get back to a point where we were able to stand. Until today I try to avoid to go deeper than I can actually stand.

Thanks! Completely forgot that this was there too
