It's too late after Sony and Microsoft choose AMD64 SOC (CPU+GPU) as gaming platform. AMD is the only provider over 10 years.

The basic workflow at Gateway side is inspecting all HTTP port 80 traffic (with iptables or others), If the URL is about internet detection, reply a 301 redirect to the captive portal URL.

But the URL is too complex among different vendor:

https://captivebehavior.wballiance.com/

I don't know why, even I tracked the URLs, sometimes it still fails (OS refuse connecting to the URL?).

DHCP option 114 (RFC8908) can advertise the URL to client directly, but it is not widely supported:

There is no income from customers for 3 to 4 years during developing. Therefore they face interfere from investors and banks first.

Logic Density (may be inaccurate, also it's not the only metric for performance ): Raipidus 2nm ≈ TSMC N2 > TSMC N3B > TSMC N3E/P > Intel 18A ≈ Samaung 3GAP

But 18A/20A already has PowerVia, while TSMC will implement Backside Power Delivery in A16 (next generation of N2)

I have similar experience weeks ago, but it reverts to chronological order now. Maybe it is A/B testing?

If so many people hates/complains on liquid glass and Apple Intelligence, I guess the resign will be a good thing.

I don't know how popular of unlock, but AFAIK, they want to remove bloatware (like the Scam Protection APP from government, or Advertisement APP from mobile carrier), unlock hardware restriction (higher refresh rate) and some other reasons.

here are some past papers. For example:

Regarding the Service in Android's four major components, please do not select the correct statements from the following [Multiple Choice Question]

    1. Service must perform time-consuming operations in the main thread, otherwise it may cause stuttering

    2. Among Android's four major components, Service runs in the background and definitely will not block the main thread

    3. Service's lifecycle does not depend on the Activity that starts the Service

    4. A Service can only be started once; multiple calls to the startService() method have no effect

    5. Service can use the stopSelf() method to stop the service
Since 1,2,3,4 are wrong, but the problem asks "do not select the correct statements", you need to choose 1,2,3,4.

It show not only how hard the problem, but they also play on words. You also need to answer 13 questions in 15 minutes. You need to score more than 85 points to have a chance to unlock it.

Because the exam difficulty is too high, some people even go to official repair centers requesting a downgrade, and snatch the phone when the technicians unlock and reflash the firmware.

Military of Nepal want to make an agreement with the activists, rather than the Nepali.

Therefore activists need suggesting a representative of the groups. IMHO a private voting is fine in this case.

But South Korean are eligible for ESTA program.

IIRC, US embassies in eligible countries are usually very picky about issuing B-1 visas. They assume ESTA works in most cases, so you need a strong reason to apply for B-1.

Another advantage of Intel GPU is vGPU SR-IOV, while consumer video cards of NVIDIA and AMD didn't support it. But even the integrated GPU of N100, N97 support it[1],

Therefore I can install Proxmox VE and run multiple VMs, assigning each of them a vGPU for video transcoding (IPCam NVR, AI and other applications).

Re:Sci-Hub has been blocked in India on Thursday August 28, 2025 @04:45AM (#45049902)
Depends on how they implement the censorship:

# poison the DNS: you can use another unaffected DNS to bypass.

# ISP level or country level content filtering (similar to the GFW of China): you need a VPN that won't be blocked, and make sure the exit node is unaffected. (also the police won't care?)

# take down the server: finger cross that they serve the content from safe location.

Also United Kingdom.

Then we meet the question again: how to protect children/copyright owner without censorship?

or how to censor content while keeping freedom of speech?

I was wondering why there is only Y/N to choose from.

In Xposed Framework of Android, I can give a fake permission that allow to read empty contact list. Do we (or manufacturer) need to maintain the trust between APP and OS?

There is a section about it on Wikipedia PS/2 page:

Re:Apple Debuts iPhone 16e on Wednesday February 19, 2025 @07:55PM (#43109828)
The CPU/SOC operates independently with limited protocols (such as PCIe, NVMe, etc.). In contrast, a baseband processor must communicate with various base stations and core networks, requiring precise timing, physical signal alignment, and correct message formats. Even though the 3GPP defines mobile network standards, achieving full compatibility remains extremely challenging.
