Finally.
The photos look amazing. May I ask what the license is on these photos?
Re:The Onion calls it quits on Tuesday May 28, 2013 @02:58PM (#5781919)
So does that mean it's real or not?
Re:Show HN: Whit - Access any kind of data through SMS on Sunday May 19, 2013 @02:07AM (#5732016)
Cool service. However, it's generally bad practice to reveal your API keys.
I love Meteor and its ever-growing community! I went to a Meteor Show and Tell fairly recently and one of the core devs and I live coded a feature onto one of my meteor projects (http://mypast.es).

I love it! May I ask how these are generated?

The gist was just removed.
Re:Path fined $800,000 by FTC on Tuesday April 30, 2013 @01:27AM (#5630556)
Despite how odd it is that they chose to specifically fine Path, I'm rather stunned to see the U.S. government even somewhat reacting to the startup culture.
That's awesome! Make sure to keep an eye on [PennApps](http://2013f.pennapps.com) that's happening September 6th.
not even @2q4 anymore...
Re:Every Nodejitsu app is down on Tuesday April 09, 2013 @07:48PM (#5522272)
Nodejitsu itself is down. http://isup.me/nodejitsu.com
You seem to be right. Meteor seems to give more tech talks and host more events than Derby too.
The Beatles are still listened to. This browser is no longer used. I don't see the parallel.
Nope, it doesn't count. The Chrome downloads API allows me to makes sure the file exists on disk.
Funnily enough, this extension exists as a sample extension in the Chrome extension docs. Apparently, you can't link to specific samples, so just go to https://developer.chrome.com/dev/extensions/samples.html and filter by "downloads." The extension you're looking for is "Download Selected Links."

It looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/XF6S0mu.png

It's a passive way of notifying you that you already have this file on disk. You can resume the download if you want to keep the second file.
I was thinking of also checking for the same file size. Would that improve the accuracy of detecting duplicates?
I apologize for the lack of support. Chrome's download API (https://developer.chrome.com/dev/extensions/downloads.html) is very flaky and has just been added full support in Chrome 27.0.1448.0 dev-m according to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15451313/closed-uncaught-...

Re:Ask HN: How can I improve my personal website on Monday March 04, 2013 @12:01AM (#5316721)
Looks pretty bad on mobile (http://i.imgur.com/LVhn8uz.png).
I've just download Vim Touch (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.momodalo.a...) and have been playing around with it for a bit. And I can attest to the fact that editing on a phone is incredibly painful. Once I realized that, though, I also realized that there is very little need for me to ever need to edit code on my phone. So, I see and acknowledge the conceptual problem that Tiled Text is trying to solve but I fear that the audience is far too small for it to be of much use.
Re:Zurb Launches Foundation 4 on Thursday February 28, 2013 @03:55PM (#5300951)
Is there a list of changes anywhere?
Re:HTML5 localStorage allows sites to fill up users' hard disks on Thursday February 28, 2013 @12:53AM (#5297285)
I was really annoyed by the fact that the "disk filling" started as soon as I clicked the link. However, the point really hit home. Is there a solution for this browser-side?

EDIT: The link has been changed to the blog post describing the phenomenon. Good riddance!

How is this better than domai.nr? Or any other similar product of this nature?
Re:Chrome app launcher developer preview on Thursday February 21, 2013 @01:25AM (#5255819)
I had Chrome OS running pretty smoothly on a Sylvania G Meso (a cheap netbook). I got a bootable disk image here: http://chromeos.hexxeh.net/
So now we have Emblem.js that is compiled to Handlebars.js that can then be compiled straight to JavaScript, that is finally rendered as HTML. When will the madness stop?
