Ask HN: How are you educating your elementary aged children?

Hi folks! We are pretty set on continuing in public school. I totally understand that we should focus more on social / emotional and extra curricular front. As it comes to academics, how have you supplemented their education besides the standard Kumon/Russian School of Math / Singapore Math?Hearing lots of “stuff” around alpha school and AI enabled learning but have people tried something they...

Ask HN: How do you break up your day in WFH land?

All the things they say on the internet are true about WFH. While massively helpful and it has truly allowed me to spend more time doing outside activities (like taking up Tennis), the monotony is fast setting in. I have tried moving locations, taking walking meetings, it just feels a lot of rote.So HN - what do you do to break up your work day so every day is not a loop of the former?

Ask HN: Can anyone explain the startup funding scene?

I have no idea what is going on currently with the startup funding scene. Massive first time raises, seed raises worth 10s of Millions of Dollars. Plentiful growth equity. Feels like theres just so much money sloshing around in the system. What really broke my brain was FTX getting valued at 32 Billion despite being 2 years old. Even beyond crypto it feels like money is there to be raised. I...

Re:Show HN: Play – a workplace coach for new grads on Wednesday November 13, 2019 @12:17AM (#21521344)
Ever since I have been a new grad in the workforce, I have wanted to be coached in typical workplace scenarios like handling my first job and asking for help. I never thought I would collect my experiences and 10 years later launch something of my own but here I am. I would appreciate any and all honest feedback - the goal is to become a coach and a companion, helping people who are just entering the tech workforce
This looks amazing, thank you

Ask HN: We will run your product surveys for you

Will you use a service that runs surveys on behalf of your company? We typically target product usage and expansion surveys (like NPS, reliability, figuring out the next product and feature to build). Its a narrow niche but in our experience, the survey tools are easy (Google Form / Jotform / Qualtrics). Its the analysis thats time consuming and figuring out next steps can be tasking. We will...

Ask HN: Nice lifestyle bootstrapped businesses

HN community - I figured there was no better place to ask this than here. For people who have started their own businesses, side hustles really in addition to their day jobs - how did you figure out the market? Are there books or podcasts on what you would recommend people like me to read or listen to to get an idea of what markets have niches that can be monetized?

Ask HN: Best B2B growth programs?

I have been in the enterprise space for a while and have now been tasked with growing the user base and not just the buyers (as is traditional with the enterprise). Any people on HN who have resources on B2B growth - not specifically growth hacking but something more sustainable? Books, resources, Talks, Classes, Seminars - all suggestions welcome

Ask HN: Non programmer looking to volunteer

Are there any places that the HN community would recommend for a pm aka non-programmer to contribute to not for profit gigs? I can help with strategy, marketing, project and product management. Don't know how that correlates into anything useful/needed at non-profits. Any and all suggestions are super helpful
