I've been frustrated by so many blogging platforms. Last I used Ghost. I thought it was expensive and I hated that www I had to prefix on custom domain. So, I built https://lykhari.com just for myself and then opened for public. If you want something simple do try. It became profitable and hence self sustaining!

Yeah but too technical for 99% of the humanity.

For all of them I built Lykhari.com

Out of the box it does have support for a good deal of SEO things. Tags, speed, basics. Which are a hassle to get right with WordPress for example.

A team maybe. I am still refining my target audience but yeah. Indies are welcome. Blogs with personal name or individual running. Business is when the blog is a business front instead of a blog run by a person.

I've been blogging for 15+ years. I moved from Blogger to WordPress to Ghost and eventually being dissatisfied with all of them (primarily because of bloat), I built a platform for myself and opened it for public. After building it, I searched a bit more and found some good ones (write as, bear blog, etc) but it was quite late. All in all, Lykhari is a simple blogging platform for writers,...

Re:Quickly compress unlimited images for free on Sunday May 29, 2022 @01:55PM (#31551157)
Most existing image compression tools are Ad-laden, upload your image to server and limit to a certain number of images at a time.

I think none of above is necessary. imagecompressr.com will do it for free and do it fast.

Re:Show HN: Bulk Image Crop on Thursday April 22, 2021 @03:13PM (#26906885)
There was a time, I used to crop and resize tonnes of images for a particular product. I had to make all sorts of images into perfect 1024x1024 squares, while keeping the features/faces in the crop. It was a time consuming task, so I made this simple website which let people do content-aware bulk cropping and resizing for free. All the existing tools I found online, weren't simple and straight forward enough and very often clouded with Ads.

Recently, I have added feature to get all the social media sizes on a click. I am not sure if its helpful for anyone.

Feedback is welcome and if you need some other simple tool, let me know. I am feeling generous these days, I might make it for you! :D
