I also share the opinion that having no interpretation can be either or since often I have no interpretation outside of "it looks neat" for something that later I find out has deep meaning for the author that is shared by others. I don't personally see it, but that's what I think.
RSS is the primary candidate through it all, though. Keeps everything relatively organized.
Health concerns mounting as animals become sick after train derailment
Kinda stings to think about it happening that way, but it's work that isn't dread-inducing, so I'll take it :)
Celebrating the Contributions of Jan Oort
But that's a dream for other people who know how to make it happen. I take work where I can get it.
Ask HN: Are you happy with your current job?
I know some jobs feel like a grind on some days, but for those who have a legitimate, heaving disinterest every work day, how do you get to the end? What pushes you to the next day?
Trying to figure out my life. I work a job I'm starting to hate because it's dead-end, but it pays well for what it is. Mentally exhausting though.
I haven't had time anymore to find something else, and to make it worse, it's not tech-related (in a broad sense, not just FAANG).
I'm kind of stuck where I am for a bit, but it pays the bills. I don't want extravagant, I just want a small place, far out of the way. Not into the "Van Life" thing though.

At the end of the day, I'm standing back, wondering which fire will blow out first.
Far away from me are the trivialities and concerns of concrete monoliths. I much prefer being able to walk outside on my own, and see open fields and forests where ever I turn.
Maybe I'm not an exception, but there are more than a few people who don't need much in life. A wood cabin in the mountains with 802.11 and solar power is all I need.
Thank you for this. I've not thought of it in that way, but it is very accurate.
Maybe it's more "See, Rust can, too!" type software?
Footnote: I have not done extensive research, hence the question.
Ask HN: The Expected Style for Tech Résumés
The recent Reddit thread posted here about buzzword-filled resumes getting more results got me wondering: What does HN consider a decent résumé when it comes to font choice and graphics? There are many different styles, and presumably, some are better than others for different career paths. However, I wonder what the technology- and engineering-focused groups think is a "stand-out" résumé.For...
I thought these visuals looked familiar. At first I thought it might have been based on a library used by MD, but this is much better news.
After all, it was discovery from a Torvalds Q&A session.
The other reason is that I'd prefer not to navigate the conversation toward "why I'm on a website with 'Hacker' in the name." That's a separate issue for which I am ill-equipped to discuss, given the mainstream connotation.
