To be honest the accepted answer is just more to the point and helpful. I get your reasoning and its a nicer story, and the credit part.
thanks! will fix that. The save state is also automatic in local storage, but you can export it for making sure you dont lose any work. I think export state is better wording then save.

Show HN: Loop-find, trim, rotate and crop videos in the browser, no upload

https://clipyouredit.com/

I built this with Claude to trim, loop and patch a lot of short clips quickly. I'm new to video editing, and every tool people recommended needed an install and was built around editing one video at a time. So I made a basic browser version, free and no sign-up, and kept adding small things as I needed them: a loop finder (it searches the clip for the frame that best matches your in point),...

yeah buy a burner, and validate, and throw out the burner

It can probably ransform most to html.
My experience. I submit about 20-30 apps per year
For new accounts yes, for older accounts it's much faster in my experience.

Apple has it's own issues, they often just answer with a random question so they can kick the review down the line. "Are you sure this is your pricing?" "Can you confifrm you have not selected that country" and then you have to wait another 2 days.

I thought the same, but then I build a few complicated apps and thought I could keep the different codebases stable but still was a headache, so switched web, ios, android all back to expo/rn. I love that testing is only (almost) only thing now, instead of 3 platforms.
Re:Claude Fable 5.1 and Claude Mythos 5.1 on Tuesday September 01, 2026 @03:39PM (#49527016)
The main issue I have, which is partly connected to writing style, mainly with it dealing with our stupidity. Is that is actually thinks it knows better, and sometimes it does, but often it doesn't and then it keeps telling me I'm wrong and I have to argue with it. Opus 5 is more condescending then Fable, but it still is very tiring. Does fable 5.1 handle this better?
Re:Software engineering is about managing complexity on Thursday August 27, 2026 @12:45PM (#49467631)
Its about creating a programmatic tool or game that solves something or creates joy to someone or a group. Thats it. The rest is just a way to make to above goal cheaper or easier to accomplish
Re:It's Not the End of Programming on Wednesday August 26, 2026 @07:48AM (#49447359)
We a have a decade of Government software to clean up, so we are good for a while
That's just the first mover moat, OP was worried about intelligence itself being monopolized.
Re:Why does Opus 5 feel worse to work with? on Friday August 14, 2026 @01:44PM (#49302120)
The single biggest annoyance, same as with fable, is that it overrules your prompt and does what it thinks is better. Even small things, sometimes it goes of a rant of 20 min doing random shit.

And they are so condescending while doing it, it's unbearable. I'm honestly starting the believe the scifi fantasy of AI locking us up, or killing us, for our own good.

I've had Fable & Opus 5, they are the same class of annoyance, write entire test suites when I just asked a simple verifications question, write to production database, deploy without permission, even after deploying and breaking my production API claiming it was not down. Then having to argue & plead with it to listen that they were wrong.

They are without a doubt the most powerful models, but also the most smug ones.

I don’t know, I wouldnt be suprised if he finds a way. All the tools around, he just have to make a jump in the quality. With GLM as example they should be able to het to opus level and cut the costs
His longevity protocol trial with group of people had negative overall results according to ny times. His supplements tested to not contain what it claimed

I think modern domestic houses its the opposite. At least in Netherlands insulation is such a strong focus, due to climate change I think, that modern appartments have terrible ventilation
The vps performance is not comparable to a dedicated server. Same cpu’s still means twice as slow. Also hetzner alllows for much larger servers in terms of memory at still a fraction of do pricing
Bunny.net is awesome!
That's the implied suggestion from the verification that they can prove to only share it with US citizens

HN is so negative, they are genuinely making a interesting move instead of just generating BS images, they are actually trying to make something that could benefit humanity. Whether they succeed or not, who knows, but great that they are trying.
Re:Want your images back? Sure... That'll be $5! on Wednesday June 17, 2026 @03:08PM (#48575233)
I just refund autmoatically when there is a early fraud warning, not worth the fight. We had lot of issues from Brazil, who all just falsely claimed their creditcard was stolen.

If we get our dispute rate down, might consider trying fighting it again, they are always our lowest tiers of 19 or 29 usd. So not really worth it. Just frustrating it's such a terrible process on our end. Also twice users are open to withdraw it when I contacted them, yet their bank / card doesnt make that easy or possible, so they still count to our dispute rate.

Re:Want your images back? Sure... That'll be $5! on Wednesday June 17, 2026 @12:12PM (#48572526)
Yeah if the refunds are automated Ive had it prevent a dispute, if I had pre-emptively refunded myself it didnt prevent the dispute. I think only mastercard and visa use the early fraud warning system, I have rules that auto refund on a warning.
Re:Want your images back? Sure... That'll be $5! on Wednesday June 17, 2026 @11:00AM (#48571475)
Chargebacks are a pain and as a seller you almost always lose them, Stripe advices to refund based on signal's they get that a disput is requested.

As a company there is just no point in fighting them. I even had emails of clients they made a mistake and didnt realise it was our payment, but even that wasn;t enough.

I think its more that AI is generally really badly implemented. It means we get a less qualitative experience, mainly on support, but also writing etc.
Re:Has AI already killed self-help nonfiction books? on Wednesday June 17, 2026 @05:17AM (#48567794)
I just don't see it changing, people don't buy knowledge, they pay for trust and authority. It's already been for decades that you could find every workout & workout program for free online or youtube. Yet people decided to buy anyway, because they trust that that person is right, and perhaps they tried the free stuff before and it didnt work (not because it wasn't correct, but because they didn't stick to it)
Re:Has AI already killed self-help nonfiction books? on Wednesday June 17, 2026 @05:15AM (#48567775)
Don't know if you did it on purpose or not, but this is hilarious.

Wow, yeah maybe cool off things for a while. You have some wild experiences. We have legal truffles in NL, come and visit, they are not so expensive here. But maybe trip with a guide for a while.

shame, same with mushrooms?
Re:Successful Psilocybin Treatment of Alzheimer on Monday June 15, 2026 @12:28PM (#48543639)
I think its relatively easy to make it beneficial with an adult person taken in most serene settings & with good intentions. The studies they did do seem to reflect that.

I would advice against a too high of a dose first time. The 5 grams they normally give in studies seems to be on the high side for a first time.

You fortunately don't need medical research in learning how to live your life and experience meaning.

It's great if we have therapies that help people and get a proper scientific stamp. Yet we can also discover the benefits for ourselves before that stamp is given.
