Undervalued refactoring/modernization of legacy code, not necessarily implementing a whole new stack. Just paying technical debt.
But some think that if you stop providing features or fixes at the fastest pace possible or if you stop to refactor you're just wasting time or slacking off.

Same here in El Salvador, retained my package and after not notifying (got an ISP log of missed/entry calls and no emails) wanted to charge me 40USD aside of the usual "other charges" 50USD.
I heard about some Doctor E. Vil, who might be interested.
Yes, putting MC and check it's time after a device-lifetime of use would be quite an interesting experiment.
Too convenient and the term can be way subjective.
"fake news" for who? For the Chinese government?
For the company that denies that their new phone explodes?
This is getting very ugly
Same here, still surprises me the songs that has been listed there.
Good experience so far for me.
The only real caveat I have with spotify is the awfully buggy applications.

Central America here, can confirm.
True, it's an interesting point.
As it was with Boromir (who wanted it for good) or Gandalf when he denies taking the ring.
They could've ended doing evil with initial noble intentions, that's how the ring would've exploited them.
This sounds so wonderful, even as a Tolkien fan, I always thought that many at the side of Saruman and Co. were doing what they thought best, and eventually may even refine their arts to match those of the elves.
Probably an adblocker is breaking the comments component.
As a fellow latin-american, I find it funny too but very worrying also, looks like a classic dogma and fact denying thing.
Holy cow, really true to their word!
I suppose it's only for certain countries, no redirection here in El Salvador.
What could have been made better?
Exactly, I've been annoyed more than once by pure whining on the format/color/navigation of a site and little to no comments on content. [Now going meta whining about the whining, but I'll try not to do it again, I promise]
Still suspicious nontheless
This is just amazing, you're awesome, thank you Gitlab team.
True, it could've been easier to use fake credentials from the start
Yes, you're right, in the end is the users fault as they didn't foresee those consequences and some didn't even made migration plans, even when stated clearly.
You can even argue that all of the things there end up being the users fault as they choose so for convenience.
I think the problem is that they won't allow anyone else to continue working on it
It would be great if it supported linux or at least some client like pidgin
One could argue that the they can get the GPL project, build over it too and distribute it.
Not much a comparison to proprietary software.
Yes, definitely it would need a closer look.
And makes you think if it would or should go the same way of other non profitable but socially valuable activities, by the hands of non profit foundations and/or government support.
And if that would be a better or worse model than the current one.
