News for hackers. Stuff that matters.

This is really impressive.

I think part of the issue building the 'metaverse', is that content generation is just so incredibly labour-intense.

I think visual AI generation and this kind of tech will really help a ton.

The source site at vtxemu.com has been squatted though :( Any other source to download it?

Nice font but I wish it didn't consist of lines like that.
They don't work quite the same way. The finger clips shine through the entire finger. The illuminator is on one side and the sensor on the other. The wrist-based sensors rely on reflections through the skin which is a lot more iffy.
Yeah I heard Apple Watches have better sensors, I wonder though. I can't use them myself at all as I can't use iOS (too limited for my requirements).

I'm using a $70 Amazfit right now but previously I had a Samsung, neither is very good.

This is not unique to the SCD40 series. This applies also to NDIR based sensors. They also need to 'see' outside air on a weekly basis.

It's just the way CO2 sensing tech works.

I use an adblocker of course, but Google's top results are basically paid ads. An adblocker doesn't block them because they come from google themselves.

You can just pay google to be on the top for certain search terms, regardless of the actual relevance of your website.

So I'm calling them ads, but they are technically paid searh results. Indeed DDG is also pretty bad lately but I still consider it better than Google. It's just that the quality of both has gone down a lot due to these practices.
