I think of ChatGPT as being a “close example” of the final code that I want to produce. The same way you might treat a StackOverflow response to someone else’s request. Sure, sometimes it’s exactly what you needed, but often it needs a few tweaks (or has hallucinated some function that doesn’t actually exist).

I’ve been using InvokeAI: https://github.com/invoke-ai/InvokeAI

Great support for M1, basically since the beginning. The install is painless.

Re:Climate geoengineering via stratospheric aerosol injection on Saturday November 05, 2022 @08:58AM (#33480975)
Individual purchasing habits are not the _only_ solution at scale. Individuals and the collective are in fact, not powerless.

While the whole “carbon footprint” thing was clever misdirection by the fossil fuel industry, there is still value in examining what aspects of your life are causing problems for the planet and trying to rectify them.

To say that the solutions to climate change are only large scale and available to massive corporations and governments is as foolish as to say that they are only small scale and available to individuals.

Whatever solutions are available to you, wherever you are in life, do the work to see them through. We need all the help we can get.

Searched to see if someone else had posted this, glad to see it here! What a great video about a piece of infrastructure that is so critical to the way our world operates.
Is this different from cells in a notebook (eg Jupyter)?
Re:AutoCAD is f-ing terrible. Let's talk about it on Friday September 16, 2022 @10:08PM (#32874153)
There’s CAD Sketcher, an add on for Blender that is trying to do exactly that. Can’t comment on whether it succeeds as I’ve never used it.
