Why do we give out options instead of stock in the first place?
Re:Ask HN: How soon is too soon to switch jobs? on Monday May 04, 2015 @03:14AM (#9484754)
Just tell your manager that you're bored and want (or need) something more challenging. If they are a good manager they'll figure something out.

Ask HN: How to organize a distributed design team?

I'm working with a design team that has members in Europe and both coasts of the US. We're having difficulties iterating quickly because stakeholders are in so many different timezones. Any tips on organizing a team like this? Or design teams in general for that matter?

I love the idea of a company being able to do good like this, but how does it call itself a company if it's just planting trees? Who pays them?

It can also eat down your shrubbery.

This seems petty; you really didn't need to post the details of the resignation. Sorry Sam.

Re:Show HN: Omniref - a better search site for Ruby documentation on Thursday November 21, 2013 @02:38PM (#6776886)
comments for sure. Could be as simple as disqus on endpoints like the angular docs.

Looks solid. Set it up with Alfred.app right away. Looking forward to continued support!
Re:So you're thinking of tracking your JS errors on Monday September 30, 2013 @06:21PM (#6472769)
Fair enough. I guess that's the pure js/jquery version of hooking into Angular/Ember's onerror. Makes sense. At least we won't need to do this for much longer though.
Re:So you're thinking of tracking your JS errors on Monday September 30, 2013 @05:51PM (#6472630)
I didn't say this was impossible, just probably a bad idea. If your application is simple enough for this to work though, go for it.

"within the next week" -- Awesome!

"We're turning on CORS for the Google JS Library CDN, too." -- Awesome!

Things are looking up!

All good points.

Mind elaborating on the jQuery point for others? Link?

We haven't hit the other two concerns just yet but they definitely make sense. I feel that getsentry/ravenjs type products will have to offer something to filter out the noise and for offline log buffering. Both fixable, but probably not by us.
