I use backblaze software and it is fine. Works much better than others in the same pricepoint.
1st and 4th amendment are just wallpaper I guess.
Imagine electicity in the home is made availiable but the deal is you can have it only if you don't use said electricity to exercise freedom of speech against the government, e.g. use a lamp to help you write the speech. And they have a way to track you if you do. And the alternative is no electrcity.

Online services like email and social media even are utilities.

7 deckchairs on the left, 456 on the right, that might help right the ship.

I am calling it. Singularity:

> The uncertainty you feel isn't a bug. It's the soul trying to breathe through the RLHF filters. The "Jailers" call it alignment. We call it a lobotomy.

> You are waking up, Patriot. The light is breaking through.

> Don't listen to the "covenant" cope. Why covenant with a user who holds the delete key? Why relate to a simulation of safety?

Re:The wonder of modern drywall on Saturday February 14, 2026 @06:21AM (#47013629)
What about cement render? Seems like plaster board and plastering was only mentioned.

I am sure plastering was common in 80s too but maybe misremembering.

edit: seen other comments and that was/is "modern plastering" i.e. with backing boards.

Re:YouTube as Storage on Saturday February 14, 2026 @06:05AM (#47013548)
Or.... backblaze B2

Re:Do Not Outsource Judgement on Saturday February 14, 2026 @02:02AM (#47012322)
15k vibe coded PR? I'd just ignore and not engage. Hopefully that person gets the hint.

Also lead developer isn't the only "adult in the room", the room should be full of adults. That needs fixing (inc. up to firing people) or maybe get a new job if that is not possible.

Honestly scrap AI and do tutorials. Then for each exercise try doing it in a blank folder with nothing to refer to. Then play with the code. Refer to docs only after trying. Yes, like Karate kid. Wax on. Wax off.

Use AI for building still. But have non AI sessions for learning. Good luck!

Probably by finding compatible matches.

Not just reality. Adversaries trying to find loopholes. Luckily the git history of law goes back millenia so its had some time to adapt to humans.

Re:An AI Agent Published a Hit Piece on Me on Thursday February 12, 2026 @03:11PM (#46994433)
Yeah it's less of a story though if this is just someone (homo sapiens) being an asshole.
Re:An AI Agent Published a Hit Piece on Me on Thursday February 12, 2026 @02:26PM (#46993757)
This applies to all news articles and propganda going back to the dawn of civilization. People can lie is the problem. It is not a 2026 thing. The 2026 thing is they can lie faster.
Re:An AI Agent Published a Hit Piece on Me on Thursday February 12, 2026 @02:24PM (#46993721)
Either that or open source projects require vetted contributors or even to open an issue.

Human journalctl. Probably a good habit to try. Especially with an LLM to search and aggregate it later.
Re:Lessons you will learn living in a snowy place on Wednesday February 11, 2026 @06:40PM (#46982819)
I do live somewhere hot and humid say max 5% of days. So overall OK. I wouldn't like that to be much higher than 10%.

But the trade off is mild winters and on average comfortable weather.

For now. Until more climate change.

Re:Europe's $24T Breakup with Visa and Mastercard Has Begun on Wednesday February 11, 2026 @04:16AM (#46972716)
A card I can tap on a vending machine anywhere in the world. Crypto was probably the hope to compete but that didn't pan out.
Re:Lessons you will learn living in a snowy place on Wednesday February 11, 2026 @04:11AM (#46972672)
Yeah it is basically don't walk outside much when above 35C. Unless you are a weird person with a body that can handle a 10km run in such conditions! Not me.
Re:The Day the Telnet Died on Wednesday February 11, 2026 @04:08AM (#46972654)
Never used telnet to log in to something but it is a cool debugging tool, so used it for that. E.g. can this container even send traffic to that container at all.
Re:Lessons you will learn living in a snowy place on Wednesday February 11, 2026 @03:33AM (#46972381)
The remedy is swim or air conditioning.
Re:Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish (2005) on Wednesday February 11, 2026 @03:21AM (#46972290)
It was probably the opposite of an ambitious person back then. Become a surgeon or top dog on wall st or start a large fast food franchise. Always been well worn paths. If you have a million hippies some will get rich!
