Add to the fact that the you want to recoup the price you paid for the device in cheaper books. I bet that that would incentivize myself 200% towards buying more books.

Pong, ahh. I almost wish I had been born sooner so I could have watched computers become mainstream.
Re:Founder Dilution - How Much Is "Normal?" on Saturday February 21, 2009 @03:54PM (#490065)
Even further dilution. How important is a 5 million cashout when you only have 7% left of the company you slaved on for three years? I never plan on taking VC money if it is at all possible to avoid.

I would buy that bike, provided that it was not overly uncomfortable. The idea of a ultra-small folding bike is attractive to anyone who lives in a city.
Re:Why the Smart VCs Are Boarding their Jets on Friday February 20, 2009 @11:31AM (#488860)
I agree with part of that. Look at the German LinkedIn competitor, which is a publicly traded company. It is the local leader, but that did not stop LinkedIn from moving in there. In the long run, the only strong brand is a global one. I do not see an opportunity for every region to have a successful me-too competitor.
Im sure that it decreases, but I bet that this effect lasts for at least three weeks.

^upvote. Facebook has enough control over data, we should keep this away from their paws.
Re:How To Find Acutally Interesting People On Twitter on Sunday February 15, 2009 @06:41PM (#482445)
I always hate finding new people. Even this system is not perfect. We need to get some people who are good with data algorithms to tackle this.

Personally, as far as I care, let it die. Do we really need shite like Squidoo?
Re:Is Mixx The New Pownce? on Thursday February 12, 2009 @12:22PM (#478669)
Personally, I think that it may keep its niche, like HackerNews. But I doubt it can raise any more money like that.
Re:Micropayments - It Is Time on Tuesday February 10, 2009 @11:50PM (#476537)
Thats the way that I see it. You get charged at the end of the month or whatever.
Re:Micropayments - It Is Time on Tuesday February 10, 2009 @08:09PM (#476312)
Yeah, I see what you are saying. But what if it was an automated system? No click purchasing to trusted websites where you knew the rates?
Re:The Complete Guide to Windows 7 on Sunday February 08, 2009 @03:57PM (#472473)
I have only run Win7 in a virtual environment, but it was awesome. This will be a good reason to keep people on the Windows enviro.
Re:The End of Hotmail - Never Looking Back on Sunday February 08, 2009 @03:55PM (#472470)
I don't mind paying for the service, I would pay for Gmail. But now that they allow people to download all their email, I see no reason to run my own server.

You mind when the robot spiders them? Idk, doesn't bother me.
