This specific issue drove me mad for a couple of hours, I thought my LLM wasn't creating files and lying about it
Re:How Google helped destroy adoption of RSS feeds (2023) on Saturday August 01, 2026 @08:29PM (#49139944)
Subscribing to RSS creates a p2p web over http. It cuts out the middleman. Who is the biggest middleman of the internet?
You can write a script and put it in PATH
This paper accurately predicted each state as well as popular vote for 2024 US Presidential elections.
it takes descriptions of other similar products into account. it uses a database of product descriptions layered on top of GTP-3 and some interesting prompt engineering.
There are different services currently available that generate product descriptions using text prompts. This aims to automate it further by removing the requirements for text prompt, and use only images. The use cases would be for large stores that have a lot of SKUs, helping them save time and money writing quick product descriptions using images they already have. The overpromises part can be fixed by setting the “tone” options. If you try “hard sell”, it will go hard. You can set it to neutral for a softer tone. However, as with all AI generated content, there should be some minimal editing/proofreading before making the content available to the public.
even when after decades people muster courage and strength to throw them out, old colonial powers prop them up again thru colonial structures like the military. this has happened again and again in Pakistan. Another fact is Pakistan is paying the price not just for carbon emissions that happened last year, but for the emissions that have been happening since the industrial revolution. The very same industrial revolution that caused colonialism in the first place. It is double whammy for countries like Pakistan, all this is traced directly to colonialism - the floods, and the inability to cope with them.
thank you so much! your support means a lot.
i am not. i find this accusation disgusting. i do not have a problem, legally, in staying here. my problem is exactly because i WANT to go back and not face any violence.
there is clear defamation. they are claiming that i work for intel agencies of foreign countries, which is not true.
it becomes far easier for the government to kidnap someone after these allegations are circulated. we have seen this countless times, to pave the path of illegal kidnappings detention and torture, they spread this negative propaganda and fake news first.
yes, i would lose my audience too that i have built over ten years.
I dont want political asylum because of many reasons, i have my parents and my family back home. I am not asking Twitter to side with me, you have read my post, you can clearly see that misinfo is being spread about me. These are verifiable lies. They are verifiably dangerous after basic scrutiny, i am asking Twitter to do their job that they already claim that they do. That is provide a space that is safer from harassment and targeted attacks like this one.
least Twitter can do is sensitize their moderators, or at least a subset of them, about local issues, maybe not to the level of making them regional experts, but enough so that they can tell a truth from a lie, a dangerous maligning campaign vs a fair critique. I dont think that is a hard problem.

That is a racist thing to say.

he is massively popular, which is the reason the govt isnt going towards elections. This WSJ articles sums it up pretty well: https://www.wsj.com/articles/ousted-pakistan-prime-minister-...
That is completely untrue. His party has won all elections by landslide since he was removed in this regime change. [https://www.cnn.com/2022/08/22/asia/pakistan-imran-khan-anti...]
Long grain basmati that has aged a couple of years. I dont know if you can find aged basmati in the US.
I cant believe this hasnt been said yet:

Every job can be converted into this esp in any sort of managerial role, the strategy to do this has only 3 basic steps:

# 1 - Hire a great team under you.

If you have one person, two person, or more working under you, make sure they know what to do and make sure they understand your expectations.

# 2 - Delegate your work.

Try to get rid of as much work as possible. There will be surprisingly little you have to do personally if you have done step 1 right. People who work under you wont even mind delegation+trust if you dont get in their way and micromanage. Just give them work and forget about it.

# 3 - Relax

Now you can chill while other people do your work for you. Keep tuning this system until you have created a well oiled machine under you that runs with minimal manual supervision. You now have time to focus on more important things.

Re:Ask HN: Best books you read in 2013 on Wednesday January 01, 2014 @09:17AM (#6995017)
top 100 books deserve more time.
Re:Ask HN: Best books you read in 2013 on Tuesday December 31, 2013 @09:24AM (#6990536)
its not the question of "is it possible?", its just that these are always listed amongst the 'top 100 books of all time' and each needs more than just 'reading time' you cannot read Ulysses and 1984 the same month, physically you can, but that would be useless.
Re:Why Bitcoin Has Value on Tuesday December 31, 2013 @09:20AM (#6990522)
see same old arguments. the question is what gives btc "value", not "is it programmable, secure etc etc etc"
Re:Why Bitcoin Has Value on Tuesday December 31, 2013 @06:03AM (#6989960)
The article basically concludes that it doesnt have any inherent value other than the fact that "a lot of people seem to be using it". We return to the same argument again and again, bitcoin needs to get the fundamentals right. Whenever a question about 'store of value' is raised, btc proponents start yelling about how awesome it is as a 'medium of exchange'. I for one will not buy btc until it gets the fundamentals right.
