Zenput | Senior Backend Engineers & Director of Engineering | SAN FRANCISCO, ATLANTA, or REMOTE | FULL-TIME

https://jobs.lever.co/zenput

Zenput is a mobile enterprise company that helps the likes of Domino's, 7-Eleven, Chipotle, etc manage their people and store operations. We operate across 35 countries and get to work with fun customers solving great problems!

We are a collective team of 25 with an HQ in San Francisco, a growing office in Atlanta and a few remote team members.

Our software stack leans heavily on JSON, HTML5 and Javascript. We extensively use Backbone in the frontend, connected to a Python/Django backend, with MySQL and Mongo for persistence. Our iOS and Android apps are also fully written with HTML and Javascript to round out our end-to-end JSON based stack.

I'm one of the two founders and CEO. Feel free to reach out to me directly at [email protected] if you have any questions.

We spent roughly $3K including fees, which were nearly $900 of the total cost. If you want an intro, let me know.

NextPunch / B2B SaaS / Sales [Manager] (first sales hire)

San Francisco, CA.

NextPunch (http://www.nextpunch.com) is a product for businesses with mobile service employees to keep track of where their employees are working from, what they're working on, and the hours they are working.

With 21 MILLION mobile service employees in the US, our market is an extremely large and fragmented SMB market. We're looking for our first sales hire to help educate the market about our product! We've gotten great responses from our early [paying] customers and eager to go get more.

About the job:

- Work directly with founder (me) to build sales process.

- Heavy focus on one vertical to start and then build sales process for different vertical markets.

- Expect to start hiring for sales team in the next 4-6 months.

- Set compensation structure, quotas, and operational process for all new sales hires.

About you:

- A couple years experience in selling B2B SaaS products.

- Experience with SMB market.

- Managed a team of 2-10 sales people.

- Experience with setting compensation models (nice to have).

send email directly to vladik at nextpunch dot com. Thanks!

Ask HN: Are you a sales guy/gal at a B2B SaaS company?

We're (nextpunch.com) starting to gear up on our sales process, unfortunately, I don't have all that much experience in hitting the phones on a daily basis...nevermind knowing all the key metrics to measure.I would love to be able to talk to someone who has experience in the sales funnel of a B2B SaaS product. When to call, how often to call, creating scripts, etc.Think I could pick your brain...

I've started putting more and more money into lendingclub. The returns have been great and you can scale how much you put in slowly. Would definitely suggest checking it out.

Ping me offline if you have any questions.

Ask HN: Have you ever had to create dozens of landing pages?

I'm wondering what products or programs did you use? I've been using unbounce thus far and its working well, but we need to create more customized landing pages. Not to mention create on the order of a few dozen initially. Moving forward we'd probably need to create a couple a week. This is for an adwords campaign. Here are the things that I'm wondering:- Did you use a software tool for this?-...

Only in the second year? Why not the first?
The persistence that Suster describes in Tracy is what's most impressive. She simply did not stop. She had a goal in mind and no challenges were going to stop her, she would find a way around them. Love it!

One of the easiest way to figure out if an entrepreneur is going to make it or not is by asking them about their challenges. In my experience people either fall into the category of making excuses about why they haven't overcome their challenges or they tell incredible stories of how they found a clever way to overcome them...note: they themselves don't think its incredible, they just did what was necessary.

"if you authenticate with an account that has appropriate permissions (just like you would in the Google Apps interface)"

Do you mean that each user will have to add this app to their Google account? Mind if I send you an email?

Ask HN: Anyone have experience working with the Google Calendar API?

I'd love to ask you a couple questions about it. There's a product that we are looking to build, I poured through the API last night and couldn't get my question answered.Basically trying to figure out if I as a user can look at other calendar (coworker's calendars) through a 3rd party product and make changes on their calendar. Booking an event, editing the event I created, and/or deleting...

Yes I'm familiar. Do not use their services. They don't know your business, your customers or your market. Most importantly they have no clue about your business model. They will spend a lot of money for you and you'll get minimum value.
