That's very cool. It's also nice that some of those customs are still alive and kickin' in some parts of the countryside.
Unsubscribing from these emails (Facebook, Twitter, idk, doesn't matter) is a chore, they make you go through lots of hoops and then they ignore the request and keep spamming you anyway. Also, by unsubscribing you're revealing to them that you are opening and reading those emails, which is something you probably don't want to disclose.

The best solution is to simply configure a filter in your email client so those emails go to the trash directly.

It's cool if they do that, as long as they stop pretending they care about my privacy and that they fight on my side :)

Proponents of the open web should be very, very worried about the terrible mismanagement of Mozilla.

They are busy putting ads in your browser and siphoning your data to ad companies.

They also have all developers share one single anonymous github account "john-preston". I can't understand the reason.
Re:Firefox Fights for You. We keep your data safe, never sold on Saturday January 05, 2019 @01:12PM (#18833163)
Before the apologists roll in: Cliqz GmbH is a media and advertising company, and Firefox DOES NOT own Cliqz GmbH, they just own a bit of it (officially they are a "minority investor").

The Mozilla Corporation sent private data of its users without their permission to a third party ad company. It's despicable and unforgivable.

Your decision to show ads to your users this last week without their consent was the last straw for me. And believe me, I've stood A LOT from you. My relationship with you has been practically abusive. Farewell Mozilla, it's been real.
Re:Is there hope for IPv6? on Saturday January 05, 2019 @12:30PM (#18832895)
Then, given that CG-NAT solutions have proven to work well and they don't bother most end users, it's no wonder the transition to IPv6 has stopped.
Re:Is there hope for IPv6? on Saturday January 05, 2019 @12:20PM (#18832833)
I don't believe it's weird, in fact, I think it's natural. IPv4 is better (because every single machine and server has IPv4 connectivity, unlike IPv6) and available addresses are getting scarce. Therefore, IPv4 access with no CG-NAT is turning into a "premium" service.

Every time I see a conversation about IPv6, this argument comes up. Is "it's got a gorillion IP addresses" the only redeemable quality IPv6 has?
