With an admitted android bias, I'm having a hard time seeing why someone would pay $5-10/mo for this, working only on IOS4, instead of using Google Latitude for free, on any number of supported devices.

Latitude doesn't support the manual geofence alerts, but it does have its own automated alerts, the pros and cons of which are up for debate. For many people, though, not having to set up and curate alert settings may actually be a welcome convenience.

Yes. Your current simple privacy policy ("We will not share your email address with anyone.") is nice, but it doesn't address the privacy of users' content (i.e. the images they send you).

I don't doubt that you intend to do the right thing, but still, I was honestly a bit wigged out to not see any mention of the privacy of my data in the privacy policy.

Re:Python’s lambda is broken on Thursday April 09, 2009 @04:45PM (#555127)

    fs = map(lambda i: lambda n: i + n, range(10))
I actually don't think this is all that difficult to explain to newcomers. It may not be the expected behavior the first time they run into it, but it's an instructive example about python scopes and name spaces.

It's very interesting to see the use of the tilde for nasalized vowels in an English text, the same as it is currently used in Portuguese today.
