HomeVision | Senior Frontend Engineering | San Francisco, CA

We're reimagining mortgage underwriting for a world where engineers and operators are supercharged by modern AI. We work with 8 of the top 20 mortgage lenders in the country and we're just getting started.

AI transforming knowledge work isn't inevitable. It takes smart, resourceful people who can go beyond pure engineering to understand real problems and build product experiences that bridge the gap between cutting-edge tools and the workflows people actually use.

We're specifically looking for a strong frontend engineer who thrives at the intersection of product, design, and customer feedback, someone who can move fast, iterate independently, and make the right tradeoffs between different competing needs.

HomeVision | SF (2-3 days/week) | Full-Time

*Who we are*

We're reimagining what mortgage underwriting looks in a world where engineers and operators gain leverage through the use of modern agentic AI. We're at the forefront of using AI tools to hack our own workflow, but also to build automation and tools for our clients.

We currently work with 8 of the top 20 mortgage lenders in the country. NewRez lending, a publicly-traded, top-5 lender recently selected us to be a cornerstone of their AI underwriting strategy, calling this out on their last quarterly earnings call.

*Who You Are*

While we have a number of roles, we're primarily looking for a specific attitude: talented, motivated individuals who tolerate ambiguity and can bridge the gap between business uses cases and engineered solutions. We believe that modern AI tools bring a great deal of leverage to engineers and we're motivated

We're looking specifically for engineers who can work directly with me (CTO/Co-Founder) and a small group of of SF-based engineers/PMs. In particular looking for a strong Frontend/Design engineer, along with a backend engineer.

We've hired from HN in the past and are excited to keep going.

I made a similar version awhile back: https://qqsend.me

It uses AES encryption to encrypt the contents of the data so that any TURN relays couldn't see the contents of what was being transferred.

The key material between sender/recipient are transferred via the hash-param of the URL, which AFAIK isn't sent to the server and is hidden.

This tweet (or one like it) caused a massive Twitter outage.
The racial lens also falls apart a bit when you consider the fact that the most dynamic regions of the American economy are extremely ethnically diverse (e.g., California, already a majority-minority state).

^^ this. The base contract allows only a single owner at a time, but you can end up with some pretty exotic ownership structures if you want ...
I spent 10 minutes before work today trying to get it working, but couldn't do it. Any hints? The contract was developed using truffle and the solidity files for the contract, ERC721, and ERC165 interfaces are split apart.
There is a chrome extension that also acts as a wallet and allows you to interact with dApps called meta mask (https://metamask.io/)

Cipher is interesting because it's built for iOS/Android and allows people to use dApps on mobile (which Metamask can't do). In fact, CryptoFinalFour was designed for Cipher/mobile browsing first.

Yes, have to trust the contract owner. You can imagine other scenarios where it’s some voting scheme, but generally feel like decentralized != trustless for a lot of things. You have to trust something at some point. What’s cool (imo) about smart contracts is that the terms (ie, code) are transparent and that enforcement of those terms is automatic.
Agree that “crypto” is generally short for “cryptography” and not “cryptocurrencies”— i myself have been annoyed by that in the past. But now that I’ve drunk the Kool Aide .... ;)
Not quite a sweepstakes- it’s just a standard March madness pool. The one interesting thing is that each bracket confirms to the ERC721 token standard, which means you can trade, buy, or sell brackets.

In that sense, using the ERC721 standard allowed me, a simple dev, to assertive/tokenize a simple digital good. Pretty fascinated by that possibility.

And yes, all written on ethereum. I can post the solidity source of people are interested.
