I agree and even though I am pro immigration, I do think the H1B program has been exploited by the employers to the hilt

did you build your own diffusion model?
> Scanning in documents and using OCR to create an order,

I remember this being done more than 10 years ago.

The other uses cases you describe also were being done. Of course with AI maybe it’s become easier and cheaper?

Most Microsoft web apps are sluggish and horribly designed.

I was using Entra and Azure the other day and boy are they slow and clunky.

Any resources to learn how to design a circuit board?
Re:Show HN: Fine-tune an 8B model on a 4 GB laptop GPU on Tuesday August 04, 2026 @10:12AM (#49169289)
How much data do you need to fine tune a model?
> A graph that can update, not just append.

I see AI using lot of these style of messages for Copywriting and/or headlines.

Does this style have a name?

> knowledge tasks

Like what?

How can I join this? Sounds interesting

I would think they are not but Alex Karp CEO of Palantir seems to imply that they are:

I found it a little shocking TBH

democracy affords you lot of venues to protest. Violence in any form is harmful to everyone involved.
Re:IBM Debuts First Sub-1 Nanometer Chip Technology on Thursday June 25, 2026 @03:04PM (#48677858)
Keep hearing that IBM makes these incredible chips but don’t see anyone using IBM chips. What do they do with them?
>No customer or user wakes up and says, ‘I hope I get to talk to a chat bot or an AI agent today

This is so true. I led the implementation of an AI customer service agent and even though management thinks it’s a great success the metrics tell a totally different story. Our customers hated it. I haven’t seen anything in tech that is hated more.

Before you think we did a bad job with our solution, I can tell you we went with some of the best and did our own intensive testing and worked on latencies etc., I actually thought the final version was pretty good but our customers just hated it.

Is there any tool that will look at all the tables in my database and create an ER diagram with all the relationships?
>Someone disagreeing with you doesn't make it reddit.

Disagreeing is great. Its the basis of all progress and understanding.

Its how someone disagrees with you that matters. I come to HN to read more mature and nuanced disagreements.

> A new data retention policy Finally, we’re making a change to the way we handle business customer data for Fable 5, Mythos 5, and future models with similar or higher capability levels. We will require 30-day retention for all traffic on Mythos-class models, on both first- and third-party surfaces. We won’t use this data to train new Claude models, or for any non-safety-related purpose, and we’ve instituted new privacy protections including logging all human access to the data and ensuring its deletion after 30 days in almost all cases ...

Very interesting. I am not sure this will comply with organizational policies and standards protocols (HIPPA etc.,)

I have an application that has

/Frontend /API /ETL /DatabaseScripts

Whats the best way to organize this so Claude Code can work efficiently?

My Gastroentrologist told me just recently that the stool test (Cologuard) is very accurate but must be repeated every 3 years as opposed to getting a Colonoscopy which should be repeated every 7 to 10 years

ChatGPT/Claude does this today. I barely click or care for the source when they already have me the info I wanted.

My speculation is all information worth anything is going to be behind some kind of wall.

What would you suggest as a complimentary resource to this?
Why doesn’t GCP provide a way to say “shut down all my services if my cap is reached”?

As an end user I could not find an option to open the side panel

When you host a solid model on terrible infrastructure, the infrastructure wins
I was hopeful for M$FT after they seemed to be ahead in AI compared to other large software co.

Since then they have largely lost the AI race (you can argue they were never in it as they never had a SOTA model and are piggy backing off OpenAI).

Now I read that Win11 is based on React, even a junior developer can tell you that running React natively on any platform will always suck.

One of my clients is planning on moving from Okta to Entra primarily to save $$$.

Is this a bad move? What should I tell them?
