Re:Ask HN: Who is hiring? (October 2021) on Friday October 01, 2021 @02:50PM (#28722102)
Exceleron is North America's leading utility prepay and payment service company, with over 60 utility customers and 300,000 active prepay consumers. Electric, water, and gas utilities are using Exceleron's MyUsage suite of applications to recover $10s of millions in debt, process more than $500 million in payments while helping consumers practice energy conservation and eliminate nearly $1 billion in service connection and late fees. Consumers have more access to detailed information about their energy consumption and greater control over the amount, frequency and methods of payment. This increases customer choice, improves customer satisfaction and significantly lowers financial risk for utilities.

We are hiring both in India and USA.

They can't just build a system, and leave it for the customers to do all the hard work of integrating various systems. Integration is the key and should be seen as product in itself.

If IBM stops milking the cow like the services, asking the customers to integrate, It will die a miserable death, and unfortunately a premature one.

It should be pluggable, like set of pick and choose building blocks of interfaces, that only should take domain expertise and custom specifications as input from the client (Which ever domain.) Until then AI only will become ambitious Sunk cost.

1. This is not human 2. Any pubishment (In civiliaded world is meant for correction) 3. If Law permitted human interaction , there ahould not be any reason to stop it. 4. WRT : Private prisons , this means more surveillance , less policing( need to hire )

Since this is about the inmates, they do it without much resistance , for heavy pockets

Shouldn't a company focus on Security of Normal users ? because advanced ones know to take care of it

Why don't we let the US/ UK Rule the world then ? I hope you understand which division NSA belongs to

You seem to undermine the power of network
Re:The NYPD Is Using Mobile X-Ray Vans to Spy on Unknown Targets on Wednesday October 21, 2015 @02:04AM (#10423951)
Its is not just a privacy violation, It is huge safety risk
I think http://savetheinternet.in did really save Internet from the stupid regulators who have absolutely no clue of technological implications of what the Big and dominant ISPs are doing to the freedom and Net Neutrality.

Indian ISPs are too opportunistic to divert the subject from Quality of Service to Issues to making more buck than what they are really worth.

1.Investing is not just a monetary transaction. 2.Is he trying to evaluate, how despirate/aspiring you are by just asking you to sign NDA (verbally) 3. When you say, one of potential investors, you are not in dearth of investors, without knowing what is the market opportunity (percieved or real) its hard to say if you should go ahead. 4. I won't do it.
It intrigues me how , NSA pulls the best of the hackers To accomplish this task and who is behind the architecture and direction of this ? It's bad, it's terrible in privacy violation perspective and in security perspective , but also remember this is nothing less than magic to bring the resources together effectively and make it scale.

I have 0 Trust on MIT, since Aaron Swartz incident. I consider that place no more than deep shit.

I Don't want to believe, if I can trust a Tor Network passing through that gate in MIT

For Argument sake, What if this is another WMD, of NK which did not exist in Iraq, and Did not Originate from NK. Not saying NK is not behind the attack, but what if they are not?

Haven't we lost the hope and trust on Media and Agencies already?

I would have recommended the same books. In addition to that please read Books by Peter F Drucker on Management, strategy and how to treat Humans.

In startups, human interaction is most important more so than a huge corporation because both employee and employer needs to understand the importance of each other. Make sure you treat them right and make sure they are excited, valued and well treated.

Get a mentor, you need to keep them engaged, request with specific questions, ask for suggestions. No one wants to receive a specific mail asking me to be a mentor. they would rather send a note/ give a suggestion which will help you.

All the very best for you and company, and keep us posted on how your journey is.

Re:A SWAT team blew a hole in my 2-year-old son on Tuesday June 24, 2014 @02:55PM (#7939713)
1. Can a person belonging to minority community dominate and trade in Majority dominant country without support of the Majority in most profitable, yet risky trade ? (possibility of being minority being made a scape goat ?) 2. All being said and done, It doesn't matter what colour and state of the kid, its a crime from the SWAT, if it is actually happened. 3. Unfortunately in any Surveillance state, there is no watch dog to make sure what various wings of the state are actually doing are Right - lawfully, morally and ethically.

There is always a way for them to escape from the charges.

Re:iMessage purgatory on Tuesday May 13, 2014 @05:12PM (#7740747)
1. Validation seem to happen when you send the first message to check if given number is associated with iMessage 2. Second time onward it only checks if the sender is in Data Network or not. 3. There is an option in the iMessage settings > Messages > "Send as SMS" if this option is not selected once the device/iAccount knows the other device is iPhone and you are on Data ... it just sends an iMessage.

Turn "Send as SMS" so that it falls back to SMS if the destination is not available for iMessage.

There was a study done in a place quite unexpected to me now, and interesting back then when I was in school myself.

My Math Teacher told there were some schools where a pilot was conducted teaching calculus concepts from 5th,6th std students and were monitored till they did their graduations and career paths.

Interestingly the people who were chosen randomly, performed equally well and their decisions in addition to math were more logical.

This study was done in India :)
