They just wanted to give everyone time to think about the billing model switch over the weekend.

If you are interested in the real flows of using AI LLMs in ATS for ranking candidates, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAEqP9VEhe8 (Generative AI's Greatest Flaw)
Re:Using AI to cheat during tech interviews on Thursday March 13, 2025 @07:59PM (#43358430)
“Our product will have succeeded once we can shut it down, when leetcode interviews are a thing of the past,” De Vries said.

I personally would never use any sort of cheating software, cheating goes against my personal ethics. But as a Engineer with 15 years of experience(valdezm.com) being gated by AI and "technical screens" and whatever magic / dark secrets is going on in ATS(applicant tracking systems).. I do wonder about what companies are thinking, what they are going to do with the weaponization of reductionist ideologies that is this AI approach to interviews. Perhaps we need nee some sort of reciprocity of "Tethics"- I will not cheat, if you do not reduce me to knapsack/dining philosopher problem I learned 20 years ago. If you do not rank me through an ATS, if you provide me with qualitative, real hard-earned time commitment responses, founded in logical reason-based attempts to accept/deny my efforts and the opportunity we are mutually perusing(which I am equally submitting to you).

Yeah, I am a dreamer.

Re:Habits of Highly Miserable People on Thursday June 14, 2018 @03:57PM (#17314835)
Yeah, I am disgusted in reading this, really sickens me. I have reached out to the author that I might be able to help her. This article really makes me want to create a counter-article, "The 14 True Identities of Joyful People"(I've exchanged Habits for True Identities, because it is an inherent worth that we all have and when known transforms us to choose Joy, this not being of works as is the case with habits).. Anyways, I suspect I may just write that article.
yeah, it's not really that special, I suspect a lot of people share this knowledge from innate sources. I always looked up derivations in Discrete Mathematics(again, innately as my primary-mode of understanding) and to this day... Anyways, not very special at all.. I bet you too love office hours to discuss the professor's dissertations and enjoy long distance running too?
RE the question of summarizing the talk:

I'd add, DHH speaks greatly at a philosophical level to a revolution that he envisions has to take place if we are to beat conquistadors(those who by any means necessary seek their bottom-line alone) and the general miasma of change that is our day as Developers and (increasingly complex)baselines that cause barriers to/of entry because now we need to understand the new XYZ-technology of the month... Underlying this, I think he challenges what it means to have a prestigious company on your resume in light of the effective outcome of a coding academy. He mentions Taleb and Software iatrogenics at a point to discuss how Software specializations creates distance(again found at these very large prestigious institutions) from the product and in so doing creates a vacuum of lack of responsibility and ownership, which creates opportunity for the end-product to be abused. This is some deep stuff that likely will require a second go around.. I build products from the ground up, a true full-stack Engineer for nearly a decade and I live in this tension of comfort in specialization(which tempting but the road I have never traveled, mostly innately) vs. the pursuit of volatility and measured effective utility abstraction.. You can even hire me at this very moment and "arm this rebel", lest I surrender to those dogmatic Conquistadors.. but DHH is having a hiring-freeze at the moment because their product is too good? (I just started to read, may not be accurate, will edit if not)
