Facebook provides a lot of public info (profile pic, first name and last name) that would otherwise be really annoying for the user to type in. Of course, to each his/her own.
Django-Piston is not longer being worked on. It may be risky to use a tool that isn't being regularly maintained.

Show HN: My afternoon project, Clustergram

I built this in an afternoon. It simply lets user quickly create pages of instagram photos that correspond to tags (selected by the user). The font I use renders great on Safari and Chrome. Some have told me that it renders a bit differently on Firefox but is otherwise ok. Let me know if you run into any issues like this or if you have any general suggestions!Thanks!http://clustergram.torehan.me

This is really cool, a nice style touch would be to be able to see what happening "this week" or "this weekend". If you sign in and your facebook event is set to private or closed does it aggregate it?

Ask HN: What does a hacker house need?

I am a student at the University of Michigan and this year I will be living with a bunch of EECS (electrical engineering and computer science) majors in a 6 bedroom house. We want to do what the Palo Alto hacker house does and start inviting hackers in the area to just come over and hang out. Before we do this what does HN think we need in our house to make it hacker friendly?

I was thinking of allowing users to login with an already established social network like Twitter or Facebook. Im not sure how I would integrate it with wordpress/tumblr/posterous. Any suggestions?

I havent built anything yet, I've just been mocking it up at talking to people about it.

A potential way to make money is to allow people to map out their trip before hand. Airline companies and travel agencies would surely be interested in offering coupons for potential travelers.
