Flow looks like transatlantic connection with epicenter in Europe
Re:Atlassian Sets Its I.P.O. at $21 on Thursday December 10, 2015 @10:45AM (#10711165)
Here's my feedback. As a part of a small startup team, I used Jira for years before Github issues and Slack were there.

The company I work at right now still uses Atlassian's trio Jira + Hipchat + Bitbucket. They are great tools with lots of features but Jira's productivity is much slower compared to Github issues and Hipchat offers a poor user experience compared to Slack.

Re:Don't bother creating a mobile app on Thursday December 10, 2015 @10:15AM (#10710972)
Productivity apps are never in top 10 on app store. The efforts you spent building your app did not pay, but I don't think you should blame app store for that. I would suggest not to take it as a failure of the mobile app concept. Learn form your experience and think about what you can improve.
Re:Swift is Open Source on Friday December 04, 2015 @05:01AM (#10675489)
I'm learning Swift right now, and really appreciate type checking.
Re:Meal frequency and timing in health and disease (2014) on Friday December 04, 2015 @04:48AM (#10675452)
Same for me on mobile. Website is apparently not mobile-friendly, works with desktop browser.
Re:Animated SVG vs. GIF on Wednesday November 25, 2015 @06:57AM (#10626738)
You can use Sketch app to create animated SVG https://medium.com/sketch-app-sources/svg-metamorphosis-a9d6...
Such a relief for front-end people. We'll be finally free of workarounds for IE.
Re:Paris Shootings and Explosions Kill Over 100, Police Say on Friday November 13, 2015 @07:50PM (#10563667)
118 dead reported by AFP (80 inside Bataclan concert hall) and 4 terrorists executed by special forces
100 dead in Bataclan concert hall
I agree that closing all borders physically would be tough. There would be controls on the roads and airports, but in the zone you posted a physical wall is required to isolate two countries.
I agree. I used "favorites" to bookmark something interesting, to be able to find the information if no time to read. But putting to favorite doesn't mean I like the content. I can favourite a tweet with a link to some bad news, such as shutting down a business, economy getting worse etc. I don't really "like" the tweet, it's just a interesting fact and I want to bookmark it as "favorite".
Re:Flexbox in 5 minutes on Wednesday September 09, 2015 @04:47AM (#10190409)
As a designer I love the equal positioning that flexbox offers. I tried to use it for some projects, but it needs some more work on browsers compatibility.

Here's how the site looks for me in Safari 8.0.8: http://imgur.com/aYwYTDx

Safari seems to refuse reading flex style: http://imgur.com/LEhtYBZ

Re:OS X Command Line Utilities on Sunday August 30, 2015 @03:26PM (#10144240)
Awesome! I'll definitely use an American voice for recording a product video next time.
Same for me, demo registration doesn't respond
Re:Facebook Launches Flow, Static Type Checker for JavaScript on Wednesday November 19, 2014 @04:37AM (#8629053)
OCaml was used for implementation of the Opa framework some years ago https://github.com/MLstate/opalang
Re:Material UI on Monday November 10, 2014 @06:22AM (#8582965)
I like the animations, inputs are really what I need today for my UI designs. Checkboxes have different styles in Chrome and Safari. Safari checkboxes look a bit weird as in unchecked mode a rotated green tick is displayed inside a checkbox, and in checked mode one of the tick's lines extends horisontally. In Chrome the checkbox looks really nice though.
Re:Game about squares on Sunday July 27, 2014 @07:14PM (#8094320)
Don Quichot spinning effect (level 29) is too much for my eyes...
Re:Jolla on Wednesday November 27, 2013 @12:05PM (#6809380)
A phone for messy people? Why put so much junk in the video to defocus viewer's attention?
Re:Show HN: No YC interview, but here's my application on Tuesday November 05, 2013 @11:36AM (#6676003)
Thanks akanet.

As "The idea doesn't matter much; it will change anyway", we mostly see SharePad as a foundation to build something awesome.

Seems like collaborative editing is not hot.

No YC interview neither, and somehow related:

Re:iPad Air Review on Wednesday October 30, 2013 @07:32AM (#6640231)
Easy to jailbreak and then MxTube is incredibly useful. Not only does it play any video without crashing, it can save them.
Re:Hacker News was down on Wednesday October 30, 2013 @07:28AM (#6640225)
I saw it with a YC theme, and the personal "it's been one of those days"* message.

Congrats! This pivot was really successful for the company.
Re:Appmaker on Saturday October 05, 2013 @04:59PM (#6502061)
Tried it out, one star rating does not work for me.
Re:Google Web Designer on Monday September 30, 2013 @06:17PM (#6472752)
Agree. The name should not give false illusions about the product. "Google Ad Designer" sounds better along with Google AdWords
