Andrew Huberman is compiling a list of the top 10 podcast episodes of all time. Naval @ Joe Rogan is 1st.That is also probably number 1 for me (it was life changing.) The other Naval podcasts at The Knowledge Project, his "How to get rich" series would be there as well. But I'm confident the HN crowd will know about the other Naval episodes. If not including Naval's, what are for you the top 10...

I'd like to move to the U.S. as a software engineer. Where could I find a db of jobs that sponsor in the USA?

Either because you work at a certain industry and you see something is missing or people complain about certain tasks/products that exist and are a burdenI’m part of a “pre-idea” venture scalable startup accelerator and I’m very keen to explore spaces people think there’s possibility for something to be built. Yes, I’m basically asking for free ideas

I feel like I’m very self aware, both internally and externally. I know that what I will say (because of the way I will say it) will be delivered badly and probably make the person sad/angry, but I cannot find a way of fixing the words I use! I feel like I have a big problem with my emotional intelligence. To fix this, I am looking for a book that is what “The mom test” is to customer...

E.g.- make something people want - talk to users - ? - ?

I'm constantly looking into Arxiv for new AI/ML papers, research, but I would love if there was a newsletter with the most interesting ones, or a site that just used GPT to summarize what the new papers are about

I've been accepted into a programme called Entrepreneur First [0], which is basically Love Island for co-founders. The programme is quite cool; the sum of the companies coming out of the programme are worth over 10 billion dollars. At EF, they go against the Ycombinator advice of only seeking tostart a startup if you have an idea. You basically start pairing up with a random person in the...

I've had Lasik surgery and it didn't go particularly well. I've developed meibomian gland dysfunction and it's been a pain to- look at screens - work in environments with heavy AC - survive in cold weather (I'm currently in the UK, it's cold and windy, and my pores (glands) basically don't open so less tears come out of my eyes.)I wonder if anybody else has been through this and has found a way...

I have no idea how to run a company. Is there a book that covers some of what that means?

I set up an automation to "reduce white point OFF" at night and back ON in the morning, so if I pick up my phone in the middle of the night my eyes don't burn

I'm super keen on learning medicine. I don't want to go to med school but I want to be able to learn as much as I can through books so that I'm better able to make decisions about the health of those I love

I love to be able to open a new terminal window anywhere with a simple shortcut. Makes me so much faster at work.Do you have any automations that save you time?

I guess there's a stack of knowledge and you can always pick at which bit of this stack you'd like to be. You can learn about JavaScript but use whatever you know about Assembly to help you code (e.g. is that multiplication really the same as adding that number 4 times to itself. one is more expensive than the other... bla bla).To you in your career, are there some things you consider to be...

Apple’s own intro text to sleep stages mentions brain waves to gather this data. How then are they able to know this just from heart beats and an oximeter?

I guess the only reason I read all of Paul Graham's essays was because I had it avaiable in Kindle format[1].I've been trying to find kindle format essays for other investors such as Marc Andreesen, Sam Altman, Naval, etc but I couldn't find it. Does anybody know of the existence of such?[1] https://github.com/ofou/graham-essays

What value can men derive from the wrist temperature feature?

I would like a mail client for iOS that enables password protection. Regular Mail app doesn't have that unless you do it the hacky way of using screen time.

I want to learn medicine. Is there a book you can recommend that reads so simple anyone would understand?I basically don't know anything about medicine and would like to learn it.

Most of the blogs I read about whiteboarding and leetcode style questions come together with hate. “It doesn’t test real world scenarios” or “not proof of how well I’m gonna do at the job”.Do you agree with those? Or is it just the case that the tests are designed to see if the person applying is actually really smart and interviewers want to work with really smart people, and those complaining...

I feel like this is the forum where I can get relevant answers to this question.I'm not a lunatic thinking we are on the verge of apocalypse or anything, I just want to minimize as many regrets as I can in my life. Part of it, is being prepared for the worst.A few examples of how I currently do that:- I have a fire extinguisher at home - I have first aid at home and know how to apply it - I...

I'm a programmer and very focused on my software engineering skills. I tend to spend time on my computer either programming or learning some new tech, and tend to feel 'guilty' when I'm using my computer for anything else.

I suppose Google has data on where searches come from and what those searches are. Do they know when searches are coming from Apple Park and what they are and do they do anything with that data?

I'm not a really good programmer and I still have problems with types in TypeScript x JavaScript, for example.I'd like to start a business and I would of course move a lot faster by simply writing JavaScript instead of TypeScript. If I chose the JavaScript route, what considerations should I have in mind?
