What do you guys have that's better than a self-hosted, open source extensible QA AI tool like Mira?
If you're interested in using it, you can 1-click deploy.
Needle in a haystack isn't a game. It's a way to stimulate your brain for 30 seconds at best. It's not a game.
I'm tempted to create a website curating video game stories like this one.
I recently went through it from start to finish as an adult and found it an incredible slog to get through. The puzzles, to me, made zero sense, which sucks the fun out of the game because the only possible way to solve them is to just try everything with everything or to look up the solution.
The latest Monkey Island. Now THAT's how you make a point-and-click adventure game!
That is the difference between Gilbert's game design versus Schafer's. I much prefer Gilbert.
I love the world, the characters, the music, and the art style. It was so inspiring for me as a child.
I literally hate the puzzles and the gameplay.
A modern database client with dashboards, saved queries, workflows, and yes, AI built into it.
I've focused on building brilliant UX over the last year, and it has paid off. I've had two emails saying that they have cancelled their Jetbrains subscription for DataGrip which has been so validating.
It's been a labour of love and I'm super happy to have disrupted even a small part of the ginormous market that is database clients.
These one-shot products aren't games. They're barely even demos. I don't even know what to call them. For a mature framework like Phaser to sell-out like this and create a vibecoded platform for vibecoded games is shocking.

Those that did, how true is this music to the original channel's music?
SQLite Is All You Need
I love HN's (healthy) obsession with SQLite. It's brilliant.
Solving Sudoku in Pure SQL
It even looks incredible when building desktop apps. We used it to build DB Pro [1] and the DB Pro website, and everyone compliments us on our design.
I see it becoming the defacto choice for UIs especially when building with agents.
I have so many thoughts but all I can think is this is the epitome of vibecoded slop.
I've never, EVER, in 18 years of being in this business, seen a software product demo of an emoji doing THAT before...
1. Boys see girl 2. Boys fight over girl
Creator could have chosen literally anything else to represent their product but instead went with an animation of boy emojis fighting over a girl emoji.
This is exactly what we built Mira for. It's self-hosted, bring-your-own-model/BYOK, and most importantly, open source.
You point it at your own API keys (e.g. OpenRouter or a local model) so nothing leaves your infra, and it runs as a code reviewer on PRs.
It's also ridiculously quick at reviewing (benchmarks at ~77s) because your PRs aren't sitting in a queue on a cloud somewhere (alternatives are > 5 minutes)
We're working really closely with our users to build the best possible code reviewer. Feedback and contributions are highly encouraged.

Show HN: Mira – Open-source and self-hosted AI code reviewer
https://github.com/miracodeai/mira
Hey HN,I'm Jay, co-creator of Mira. An open-source, self-hosted AI code reviewer where you BYOK (bring your own key).Local models are getting really good.Hosted frontier models are getting really expensive. So, we built Mira. Mira has some snazzy features too:- It's really fast at reviewing. Average is 77s compared with Greptile's 5 minutes. Your PRs aren't going into a queue on a cloud...
A complete desktop app for browsing and editing your Postgres, MySQL, SQLite data, creating beautiful dashboards, and soon designing automated workflows for repeat tasks.
I've kept a devlog of the last 10 months of building DB Pro, which has been the best way to bring users to the product. I'd highly recommend folks starting a devlog if they can.
What I dislike is "AI SLOP" seems to be the default response to anything remotely creative anymore.
