Re:Tesla Roadster on Friday October 16, 2026 @04:02PM (#50123778)
I don't think they're saying its bad, rather, the previous roadster has been in the works for 10 years and still hasn't been manufactured due to issues. Considering that how are they going to manufacture this by 2028? feels unlikely unless LLMs can help them here
Re:Inkling: Our Open-Weights Model on Thursday July 16, 2026 @05:33AM (#48932275)
unlikely I think, they're likely doing this to garner some interest in their company but they seem pretty interested in revenue (judging by the companies they're working with)
Andrew Kelley's thoughts on Jared Sumner is insanely savage.
Re:Show HN: 18 Words on Thursday July 09, 2026 @09:28AM (#48845491)
what made you go with 18?
I wonder how up to date these papers are because I imagine this list came out >6 years ago
not saying what the EU does is a good thing but why don't I ever see any legislations like this from the US? we'd still have lightning on iPhones if it wasn't for the EU so some of what they introduce is net positive...
do all social media sites not suffer from the same issues or am I wrong? e.g., snapchat, tiktok, youtube? Why is Meta being singled out?
Agreed. I really like the feature. For people saying it's quite bad, from speaking to an engineer on that team at Google he says it's literally the output of a tiny LLM being fed the top websites results which makes sense to me.
The goal for anthropic is safe AGI. A) this model is dangerous in the hands of consumers. B)They do not want China to train on these models.
why does it matter to you if it's AI or not? if you enjoy a song you shouldn't resent it just because it's AI generated. Me personally there's many AI songs that I like and enjoy listening to.
Re:Apple Has Given Up on the Vision Pro After M5 Refresh Flop on Wednesday April 29, 2026 @04:40PM (#47954296)
Apple has really dropped the ball recently, as someone who was a die-hard apple fan 10 years ago now I've started moving off the ecosystem.
Re:Muse Spark: Scaling Towards Personal Superintelligence on Wednesday April 08, 2026 @04:16PM (#47695713)
Sure it's not as good as Claude right now but for their first model in years it's certainly not bad. I hope they continue to develop models, having another competitor in the space would be nice.
Agreed, his two posts read really weirdly. He made a deliberately vague(?) initial post to get a response and I'm not sure how I feel about his story as you've said, if I was Sam Altman I'd be wary of anyone coming up to me too.
Re:Dropping Cloudflare for Bunny.net on Tuesday April 07, 2026 @10:18AM (#47675807)
Am I the only one who thinks their reason for why theyre leaving Cloudflare didn't sound particularly sound... This blog post reads like something a Bunny.net employee would write
Re:SWE-bench will hit 90% this year on Sunday March 29, 2026 @08:14PM (#47568907)
Maybe unpopular opinion but I think at this point SWE-Bench has done its part and we need a new benchmark because Gemini being on/near the same level as Claude is obviously wrong
Re:LinkedIn uses 2.4 GB RAM across two tabs on Sunday March 29, 2026 @08:09PM (#47568869)
As someone who knows xAI employees, he does use it a LOT and reports bugs very often afaik
Re:Delve – Fake Compliance as a Service on Friday March 20, 2026 @06:09PM (#47461344)
What's the TLDR? Should one be worried if their business uses Delve?
We really need it possible to push laws faster, 2026 is going to be an insane year for multimodal models and laws are simply not keeping up.
Re:GPT‑5.3 Instant on Tuesday March 03, 2026 @02:43PM (#47237816)
I wonder when / if GPT will stop with the emdash.
It doesn't feel like much has changed from the previous gen? Just a new chip + memory?
Re:Elevated Errors in Claude.ai on Monday March 02, 2026 @10:48PM (#47227771)
Jarred (from Bun) said that a lot of the errors are being of how much they've scaled in users recently (i.e., the flock that came from OpenAI)
Re:Poll: Which VCs Are Tier 1? on Monday March 02, 2026 @10:46PM (#47227760)
This is cool but also it requires people to be quite knowledgeable about VCs, I know a lot of VCs but can say there was still a good amount that I didn't know there which means I won't vote for them. Also, this should be a ShowHN, no?
Re:Google just killed my project on Monday March 02, 2026 @10:43PM (#47227744)
This reads like a Linkedin post, I'm sure A) you can make something else B) you didn't think this would last forever

Good luck!

Apart from the few typos, super impressive! What are you guys doing differently to the AI labs you mentioned? How will you maintain your lead?
Re:ChatGPT uninstalls surged by 295% after DoD deal on Monday March 02, 2026 @10:39PM (#47227712)
How much do we think that number is? I don't think we can determine it from the number of downloads it went down by? I prefer absolute numbers to percentages
Discord really needs some enterprise plan. I've been saying this for years, they can take down slack.
"extensively" = 2 comments?
Re:Apple introduces the new iPad Air, powered by M4 on Monday March 02, 2026 @02:25PM (#47222841)
They're quite scared to take risks I think, from what I heard it seems it was meant to be released already but they've delayed it a bunch, I wonder if in part due to AVP failure.
