Every Wayland compositor I could find is a tiling one: sway, river, Hyprland, dwl, niri. If you want windows that float and overlap with titlebars and a taskbar, the way IceWM does it, there's almost nothing. That is Steppewm
Show HN: Steppewm stacking Wayland window manager
a thing I madewhy? there's just nothing like icewm in the wayland space. there's labwc but it's jank if you simply want the icewm experience with a taskbar and DE-ish experience. plus, there's a converter for icewm themes. and a good taskbar.

Nope, since it's a 1:1 messenger with a single Tor stream at a time, Tor latency is more than fine for this.
