Re:Small Language Models Are the Future of Agentic AI on Tuesday July 01, 2025 @06:59AM (#44432609)
I know this isn’t a question, but more of a general observation about LMs. However, I’d still like to say that a fine-tuned Qwen3 0.6B model can produce more effective and faster results than a raw Gemma 3 12B model. Maybe it’s because I’m not a programmer, but I believe being able to give commands in natural language adds a great deal of flexibility to software.
blenderq --blend /path/to/file1.blend /path/to/file2.blend love this option

normaly I just use blender -b path/file1 -a && blender -b path/file2 -a

thank you for making this I did not read your code and I'm curious about where did you get (or calculate) the progress value, thank you for making this

I just tested with a folder full of jpegs and I didn't even have to compare to see the artifacts kind of "looseless"

Re:Local LLM's to run on old iMac / Hardware on Saturday November 11, 2023 @09:42AM (#38230677)
Thank you so much, actually I tried to run mistral and TinyLlama over ollama without success. But I've never limit inferencing process or anything. Let me try LocalAI

Local LLM's to run on old iMac / Hardware

I have an old iMac on which I run Syncthing and Node-RED. I use an M2 for my daily tasks. I SSH into the iMac whenever I need to, and if I require a GUI, I use screen sharing. My iMac is quite old, dating back to 2012. While I can run most of the LLM models on my M2, I'm struggling to run even the smallest LLMs on my iMac. I've attempted Ollama and LLM.cpp without success. So, is there any local...

awesome, love the idea and maybe putting a default prompt like:

"this images comes from the persons POV that ask you questions"

instead of "a person holding something" "you are holding xyz" wold be better

Re:Talk-Llama on Thursday November 02, 2023 @07:28AM (#38111909)
you laught at the end but I love this solution
I love this jekyll theme called "sidey" and whenever I need one I just use this https://github.com/ronv/sidey

my blog using a little bit cleaned version https://umtksa.github.io/

most of the people I know use WhatsApp and Telegram because they can read their notes from any device/ant time and can forward it any one. so for this use case ideabook cannot do what WhatsApp or Telegram do for me. But I like the clean interface. note: mobile appstore links are not there

Re:Anyone Experienced with Crawling Websites? on Thursday August 24, 2023 @11:09AM (#37249724)
I'm running a dashboard on an old samsung phone for crawling some sites and displaying them in an easy to read format.

Copy any request you made on chrome dev tools as curl convert curl to a function node. If anything breaks on site side just make a new curl and copy thoose values.

Re:Ask HN: How do you synchronise your notes? on Wednesday August 16, 2023 @06:43PM (#37154871)
I got it now, but I've never see any conflict
Re:Ask HN: How do you synchronise your notes? on Tuesday August 15, 2023 @08:36PM (#37141272)
I just use markdown files and even some part of it accessible by my wife, still no conflict. Could be an issue about json
Re:Show HN: Portfolio/Resume website driven by GPT on Tuesday August 15, 2023 @12:08PM (#37135669)
interesting portfolio, but for me it's just something like a GPT mockup with clickable questions.

As a user facing your frontend I'm not getting any benefit from LLMs.

The first readable data about you takes more than 8 seconds. And I cannot ask any question. With this abilities it's like a poor implemented QnA page.

Hope I made my point clear. I'm not a coder and yes I see GH page of your project

Re:Ask HN: How do you synchronise your notes? on Wednesday August 09, 2023 @12:42PM (#37065291)
obsidian + syncthing on desktop + icloud on mobile
