Most of the soundscapes from WildSanctuary (http://bit.ly/2IHocS) have a pretty amazing effect on my productivity.

Newsletter aggregator

My 12 year-old nephew recently contacted me with an idea he's had for building an online newsletter aggregator/manager - it seems that he subscribes to so many newsletters, that he's losing track, hence the idea.My questions: has anyone here come across such a solution online? Is there merit in such a solution? Thanks for any feedback.

How about MediaTemple - I've found them to be quite reasonable.

Ask HN: legality of re-using publicly posted material

I recently set up a site which collates After Effects expressions and scripts (http://xscriptorium.com). At the time of building I conceived only of one scenario: the person submitting an expression is also the author of that expression. As it turns out, the community has come up with another scenario: posting expressions that were written by others. Now, that obviously makes this site a lot...

Re:Ask YC: how to go about setting up my own online store on Monday July 28, 2008 @02:40AM (#258845)
Hi,

no, the shop isn't massively specialized but I think it would be too much to comfortably take on with Shopify (where I am currently setting up another store).

With regard to placement agencies, are you able to point me in the direction of any such agencies?

Thanks very much.

Ask YC: how to go about setting up my own online store

Hi everyone,I'm hoping for some feedback/advice on the following: I'm looking to set up an e-commerce solution for which I am going to invest approximately $10,000.- of my own money. However, I am not a programmer/have very little understanding of programming and, given that it's my own hard-earned cash, I'm very nervous about making a wrong decision. Some stuff that's going through my head: ...

That's how I ended up with the current site - unfortunately I've got very little aptitude in that direction.

Good idea, however, after looking into posting on Craigslist... "all job ads must offer monetary compensation -- no unpaid internships, barters, deferred pay, etc."

Ask YC: finding hackers to help with charity work

I've been running http://cleftworld.com/main for a year now but the site looks unimpressive. I have rebuilt it (in Drupal) and have redesigned from the ground up but am unable to do the themeing work myself (no experience in this area whatsoever). Does anyone on this site have any suggestions as to where I might find a hacker that would be prepared to do such work on a pro bono basis.

I can highly recommend Thunderbird. It's open source and I've been running it solidly for a number of years now.

How to set up share structure between founders?

We are three partners in the process of starting up a business. However, we are not getting involved equally as far as time and money invested goes - are there any resources available that can guide us with regard to how to set things up fairly?

I'm setting up a loose partnership in order to explore an idea. Having proper contracts drawn up at this stage is a bit pricey so we're thinking of using Terms of Agreement for now.
