that's a good approach. haha

google is the main source. also there are some github repositions and reddit links.

Hey jruohonen, great point. it depends on what does "survive" mean.

Monetize-able GPTs? Not many for sure. What will happen IMO is established companies will build official GPTs to better serve existing customers.

GPTs for personal use? Many GPTs will be abandoned and not be used by anyone. That's okay for one-off use cases.

There will be a loooooong tail of GPTs that people would use from time to time. There will be a lot of diversity but the top GPTs will eventually be like the top apps in the app store IMO.

If you're a front-end dev, you'd probably worked with PMs on building features that helps the product grow. This guide covers many of those features.

If you're a backend dev, you'd probably been asked to create database tables to save marketing or business data. AirTable allows many business people to create tables and gather info , and selling info without involving backend dev.

It will be interesting to see how the self-serve business tools (nocode) will affect the type of work devs will be asked to do in the future.

Super impressive work since I first saw it on IndieHackers. Congrats!

One of the things that bothered me for years was the lack of clarity around Product-Market Fit. So far all the explanations are a posteriori - you can only observe or measure them. E.g. "You've found PMF when you sell it faster than you can make it", or "You can measure PMF by asking your users if they'd be sad if the product is taken away from them".

Can't we systematically get to it step by step instead of observing a big black box?

Last week, one model crystallized in my mind: Product Market Fit consists of 5 "fits" under the surface, each of which can be measured separately, which I summarized in the Twitter thread.

Would like to hear your opinion on if this makes sense to you.

Reading an article this in-depth and pure on blogger brings me back to 2004, the good ol' days

how does it work? :-D

Thanks a bunch!

Priorities took 2 weeks. I decided it's time to build it on March 7th, and it's approved yesterday.

Goals took me 2 months to launch, started from an empty repo, then polished over the next 6 months.

Thank you for asking!

thanks man

Sketch or figma

I really like how this tool is positioned. Simple and useful.

"The lifetime cost of a photovoltaic solar-power plant will drop by almost half over the next 25 years".

Can someone explain how big of an impact this is?

Not all sunsets and sunrises are equal...plus you can't easily witness sunsets at every corner of the world on your feet, yet you can on the internet. That's really powerful.

When can we get unlimited data plans btw?

I got pretty excited about it, but I really can't trust Facebook as much as before. They practically took "graph" off of "open graph" by disabling third party's ability to list users' friends and invite them.

I won't be surprised if later in the year some apps get banned from Facebook APIs because they touched Facebook's pie, which now covers pretty much everything. It's no accident half of the apps in the showcase are for sticker, GIF, and video replies as they pose no threat to core Facebook features.

So what's in it for us?

Opened a sample and it works really well. Why not upload to Github so people can contribute?

Gogs looks quite polished and it might attract people who needs to setup a new server. But once you setup your workflow you don't want to worry about it for a while because you want to focus on the actual work. Switching the tool is of the least concern unless the old one broke.

I've been using Gitlab to manage all my personal projects and I am grateful of how many features and constant improvements I get for free. Lots of free software have terrible UIs, eg. ReviewBoard, Jenkins, Graphite etc (these are great projects btw, just the UIs still look like from 2000). But Gitlab's UI is modern, elegant, and shows me all the activities on my projects. So I check my projects regularly and feel encouraged to work on them. Granted I can't tell if it scales for big teams but it is not an issue because I only share the instance with a few friends.

It has ran worry-free for me for almost two years besides occasional updates because I wanted the latest UIs and it helped me focus on coding. Thanks for the great work!

Also came up this idea two nights ago before falling asleep, and two days later someone did it! Looking forward to see how it evolves.
