Re:How neutering dogs became the norm

Not sure why you're being downvoted. Most of the vets in Europe wouldn't suggest neutering, only if it's a medical necessity or the dog's being overly aggressive. And if you really need to, wait until he's grown up.
Our dog is a rescue and was neutered at a very young age before he came to us. His development was rather delayed and he's definitely behind. I really can't imagine doing this just because it makes your life "easier". I would never do it without a good reason.

Thanks! The "design" is mine, and I still use Octopress because I haven't found the time to switch to something fancier.

Small clarification: As Ryan Sleevi pointed out over Twitter, it may sound a lot like I'm giving advice and discouraging the use of session tickets. I don't want to encourage anyone to disable session tickets and make TLS so slow that they're switching back to HTTP for good. Having TLS without PFS is a lot better than having no TLS. The post was mainly written to explore options and show that there are tradeoffs to think about with current setups, especially if you're interested in going all the way and provide PFS.

For non-binary data in general you would have to create your own serialization mechanism. For everything that can be represented textually you can however use the TextEncoder/Decoder API: "var buffer = new TextEncoder("utf-8").encode(text)".

Re:Why All Browsers Should Move to WebKit

If everyone switched to one browser engine competition would surely rise again after a couple of months or years. Engine features will differ and WebKit forks will compete even more. The market would roughly be at the same point it is now, it just started off of one engine.

I think this really makes sense given that in Germany we have a quorum of 50k with a much smaller population. The same thing is probably true for other smaller countries as well.
