Re:Following legal advice, the Nitter project will continue on Sunday September 06, 2026 @10:11PM (#49593049)
For me a website is much more accessible than a phone app in many situations.
Re:Intellectual Fly Is Open on Sunday September 06, 2026 @01:12PM (#49588601)
Indeed. I'm curious what the security team has to say about that approach, for example.

Do your coworkers send emails and create written work product using LLMs? I'm curious what the standards and culture are within an AI org.
Re:New type of dice guarantees no tie when deciding who goes first on Thursday September 03, 2026 @09:10PM (#49559260)
My naive first idea was that (for two people) one set would have even numbers and the other odds. But then the even number person is more likely to win. So it's something around which numbers are on which dice.
Re: on Saturday August 01, 2026 @11:27PM (#49140782)
It was a question. Should we respect and reward this type of publishing? I'm curious what others think.
Re: on Saturday August 01, 2026 @11:24PM (#49140767)
Am I wrong for wanting nothing to do with an AI-written article below an AI-generated image?
Re:Be skeptical of OpenAI's rogue hacker agent story on Friday July 24, 2026 @03:22PM (#49040492)
This seems to be an Opinion piece. How are readers supposed to know that? The word News is underlined in the header. Other Opinion pieces seem to show Opinion underlined. Am I missing something?
YC S27's ScamMyGrandparents.com lets you simulate these against your own grandparents, so you can shame and educate them when they naively wire your college trust fund to a safe account. You are able to refund either the whole amount, or keep some for yourself since they won't know any better. The cost of service is variable depending on how many homes they own.
Re:If Claude Fable stops helping you, you'll never know on Tuesday June 09, 2026 @06:35PM (#48468762)
Perhaps provide an example or two?
Re:Siri AI on Monday June 08, 2026 @03:07PM (#48450016)
The screenshot about pho is funny to me. Bean sprouts are not a good source of fiber. Noodles are not especially healthy. The broth base is not fish sauce, nor is fish sauce where broth gets most of its sodium. Slop city!
tumor (noun) An abnormal growth of tissue resulting from uncontrolled, progressive multiplication of cells and serving no physiological function; a neoplasm
Re:Fast on Wednesday July 30, 2025 @05:22PM (#44739657)
Interesting that onkernel.com intentionally animates and slows down the loading of the web interface, making it harder to scroll and scan the site. Irony or good design?
Re:Waymo will bring autonomous vehicles to Tokyo on Monday December 16, 2024 @11:04PM (#42438222)
Can you elaborate on what is expected outside of being mandated?
Re:The Edited Latecomer’s Guide to Crypto on Friday March 25, 2022 @02:03PM (#30805329)
Does anyone know if there is a tool or platform that makes it easy to make/publish this type of "leave footnotes on an article"? The UX here is nice and simple, and I think there is utility in sharing feedback this way (vs. blockquotes in email, or Google Docs comments, etc).
Re:The new silent majority: People who don't tweet on Tuesday March 08, 2022 @05:10PM (#30607896)
Do you have a source or examples?
Re:Interactive IPA Chart on Thursday May 06, 2021 @06:54PM (#27069920)
At least 4 different types of hops that can be mixed in different ratios, at different times during brewing, etc.

Re:Show HN: Ten seconds to ponder if a thread is worth it on Monday March 01, 2021 @05:08PM (#26309115)
Knowing that hckrnews.com exists helps me, too. I use HN's built-in "no procrastination" feature to prevent checking too often throughout the day,
Re:Weather Line Is Being Acquired on Monday March 01, 2021 @01:27PM (#26306137)
Maybe the rest of the "Make something people want" poster says "...then take it away"?
I wouldn't use the word secret at all in this case, frankly
I have a horrifying vision of huge "dongles" everywhere ... like USB/headphone/etc but for cars. $100 each, aftermarket is $50 but they slowly ruin your batteries, etc.
Re:How bad is your Spotify? on Wednesday December 23, 2020 @10:18PM (#25524760)
My favorite part was knowing it was an AI but still feeling at least a little defensive at parts
Where did this title come from?

Re:Google Acquires North on Tuesday June 30, 2020 @01:32PM (#23692559)
I walked by it every day and can confirm. They didn't even have an inviting sign, or anything about what they were selling. The glass was a little reflective so you could barely see some mirrors and glasses on walls/pedestals. I'll bet most people walking by thought it was a typical optical store (but with only one boring frame option!).
Re:Work-from-home boom leads to more surveillance on Wednesday May 13, 2020 @11:04AM (#23167554)
Basecamp is a decent company and is actively blocking this effort: https://m.signalvnoise.com/employee-surveillance-software-is...
Re:New 13-inch MacBook Pro on Monday May 04, 2020 @10:02AM (#23068166)
The escape button escaped from the touchbar!
Re:New iPhone SE on Wednesday April 15, 2020 @02:52PM (#22881539)
Would a lightning dongle still work in these situations?
