This is what I want too.
Re:Railway Security Disclosure on Thursday October 22, 2026 @12:56AM (#50191334)
I was a loyal railway customer for a while, but this response smacks of "we didn't want people to know" instead of "we wanted to take responsibility."

The options railway has given us are "rotate your keys and bring down your service" or "keep your service up and let the exposed keys remain at risk." Kind of a crap position, no? Mistakes are going to happen, but when the suggested mitigations are to stab yourself in the leg or stab yourself in the ass, it's hard to be sympathetic.

I have to imagine quite a few users are asking their agents to port their stacks over to alternate providers like I am. The cost of switching has never been cheaper thanks to AI.

I'm shocked this isn't getting higher up on the homepage. It's pretty significant at this point with no end in sight.
I've been playing with this https://getchronosphere.com. It will (attempt to) rebuild a PR in a coherent journey rather than a massive blob. It's been somewhat helpful up to this point, and still improving.
I'm trying to find details on this, any links?
Re:Stop sending me huge PRs; a rant on Friday August 14, 2026 @08:58PM (#49306463)
Yes, totally. This is how I work as well! Frankly, it seems like LLMs are pretty good if you tell them after the fact to divide work like this too, "make stacked prs with model a, then model b, then service c" has done wonders for my mental health.

I can smell the screenshots -- that's how accurate the portrayal is. Well done.
Thanks! I was surprised at how well the open source models compare to the "professional" tools as well. I recently had a meeting where someone used another closed source solution and the result was emailed to me -- I preferred Lorraine's copy by a long shot!
I think those are valid points, and to further add to it, we'll see a bifurcation of what are currently called "software engineers"; those who adopt the technology because they consider it a craft, and those who fall behind by producing slop because they're just trying to leave for the day.

Show HN: Small, an x402 powered writing site

https://getsmall.xyz/

Hi all,I've been working on Small for a bit now, and I think it's ready to share. The idea being that larger writing platforms have memberships and have become an untenable way to truly share content. Small represents a return to paying writers and creators for their content. We chose to use x402 to embrace open protocols and payment rails.Still lots to do, so please leave any things you do or...

Rivian's R1* max battery offers an EPA over 400, anecdotal experience has taught me it's actually around 325-350 on the highway with heating/AC, but still.
Yes! It would be great to either support a generic "custom" CLI option. Just trying to cover the main ones that I use initially.
Superposition is a way to access claude code (and other CLIs) running on your laptop from anywhere, with multiple sessions and workspace isolation (thanks to git worktrees.)

Since my last checkin, I've made quite a few improvements to Superposition including:

- Gateway (docker image included) to access your laptop from anywhere without needing to open your ports

- Custom CLI command support

- Local git repos (no need for github)

- Automatic updates for the runner process (simply restart the main binary)

I've been using this every day to do a large portion of my own development, and it's proven to be very useful. Let me know what you think!

Show HN: Superposition, open source access to Claude Code or Codex from anywhere

https://github.com/trezm/superposition

Thought this might be useful to some folks. Planning on adding other CLIs in the near future, contributions welcome. Some neat features: - Web UI with mobile friendly buttons (arrows, enter, etc.) - Separate background task for agents (so the server can restart without destroying in progress sessions) - Github integration - Notifications when user intervention is requiredHope y'all like it!

Re:Rethinking Virtualization for Backends on Thursday October 27, 2022 @10:59AM (#33358544)
Super exciting news -- shuttle has been a really nice breath of fresh air after dealing with containers and such. I write a lot of rust-based backends and it was a pain that even for a simple service like fly.io I still had to manually write docker files... shuttle made that a LOT easier. Love to see them moving forward!
Re:Flutter 2 on Wednesday March 03, 2021 @02:44PM (#26333356)
Interesting you mention it. I've actually been working on a fairly fully featured app in flutter, and was shocked at how well it performed on iOS. Coming from the React Native world its miles ahead in terms of perf, at least in our case.

Shameless plug, the app is https://droppod.gg, an app to find time to play video games with your friends!

This is a great idea, I can't wait to see how it turns out. Really a tool that the internet has been lacking as a whole.
