Thanks Jorcsa. That's great. Someone once gave me this piece of advice - "work very hard to find out why your start up will fail. if you can't, you've found a good one, but the quicker you can find out why, the quicker you can move on to the next one."

Thanks for reply. So it sounds like in your experience there is a lot of chance, or randomness, at play, but what you can control is your expectations (don't buy hype). Is that right? What were your take-aways about timing and picking partners? Curious how you do things differently now.

Interesting. Did you raise capital for the company? So what would you have done differently, or asked another way, how do you approach a new business idea now. Do you start with consumer research? Just focus on a light weight MVP to look for market validation?

Did you learn anything from your failed start up?

I'm curious to get the communities take on whether you learn more from start ups that have failed, than start ups that have succeeded. Here is my thinking:I've read many of the "keys to success" type of books, e.g. "Good to Great" or "The Art of the Start", but the information always seemed either inapplicable or flawed. I'm a fan. A little busy, but intriguing enough for my tastes. I wish clicking on the little red boxes did something other than flip them to a different color, but it's really insignificant. The title bleeds off the black background on Chrome. Great idea for an app. I teach goal setting workshops now and again, this could be a useful tool to pass along.

Appreciate you sharing. It's always helpful to see a little bit of data on results, instead of just hype. We're seeing similar results in our very different (and less appropriate)field at RentShare.

So I've got a question for ya. At what point do you know your MVP is actually a MVP? Part of the issue with focus, as I see it, is what if you focus on the wrong thing. Do you have metrics in mind to know when to bail or pivot? A stop or limit (I forget which is which) point.

So I'm curious about what you are planning to watch for? What signs will tell you to focus on something else?

Really great. Thanks for sharing this. It's a terrific way to get parents involved, and a really nice explanation of what programing is. I'm curious about what the next steps would be for kids this age.
