Sorry but I have to chime in here. His thoughts seem insightful and relevant to discussion. You are calling his contributions 'meaningless' and condescendingly telling him twice to 'be specific'. That's not how things are meant to be discussed around here and not how you get an answer out of someone.
I'm not entirely sure I'm getting what you're conveying here. Are you just reminding everyone that change is slow to come, and to be pragmatic about these applications? (I agree with that.) Are you also claiming it's futile to attempt to change or push back against this interviewing process, at least through discussion about it?
With enough push back, I do think it's possible that those in charge of hiring in the world might reconsider how valuable leetcode tests are to judging potential employees.
I'm surprised Weinstein doesn't consider it important to put technical details out there, especially when it's not like anyone is going to steal this research. All it takes is a submission to arXiv to not only popularize his ideas but to submit them to the peer review of everyone, since he holds a quarrel with institutional review.
What about the concept that some people stop working in this industry? Especially as tech stacks ever evolve, and some people grow weary of having to keep up when they can go do x job and be just as happy. It's not like the world of developers is just gonna explode with talent and wages are gonna go nilch so easily.
The BLS expects another ~300,000 software engineering jobs in the next decade.[1] Will the fresh grads really be enough to hit that goal and more?
Besides, an influx of talent to the industry also brings the immeasurable future possibility of new innovation and growth. Is it really impossible that this will outpace the rate of entering labor, so that wages dont stagnate hard?
I don't have all the answers, but I'm not entirely sure doom will come that quickly for us ;)

While I think gemini is a cool 'hideout' on the web, it seems a lot of content served over gemini is also served over http. Does anyone know of any message boards like The Midnight Pub[1] that are served over gemini only? After some browsing, I couldn't find any.

I think I'm convinced of manipulation. The memeing and the gameifying investment, calling each other retards (because you, user, you don't know _anything_) and the long obscure unfalsifiable ramblings about predictions or valuable investments hitting the top of the page, it all just seems a little fishy to me.
Unless you are approaching a red light with a right turn, and intend to go straight. I wanted to turn, now you're in the way damnit!!
This take seems a bit short sighted IMO. How do you know that if the work culture was better, the product wouldn't be any different?
It does seem unnecessary to strive for a perfect work-life balance for these giant companies to ship good enough products and make boatloads, though.
While I'm not disagreeing with your proposed cause to high trust within a culture, I disagree with 'high diversity causing corruption'. I think the corruption issues in eastern europe are a whole different conversation and I'm not sure how diversity in ethnicity would necessarily cause that.
