It was born dead.

Regards, A meteorologist

Google logged over 200 hectares of forest in Finland without the environmental impact assessment, required by law.

After weeks of hiding from the media, Google’s Country Director Antti Järvinen apologizes for the logging controversy in Muhos and cites "a lack of awareness". Järvinen does not specify exactly what mistakes the company made. He describes the idea that a company could benefit from breaking the law as “absurd.”

No shit.

This piece is so god damn spot on. I have recently been raising every single one of these exact issues in our team. AI prerequisites good working practices and ways of working more than ever before. And people need to own their contributions, no matter how they produced them.
Well, AI is probabilistic by nature ;)
Girls and boys, this is a prime example of a rhetoric question.
Taking ANY Microsoft products with you to space is proper Russian roulette, I mean, what could go wrong?

Absolute metrics like "Most Disrupted Airlines" are completely useless if they are not normalized by the number of flights per each airline.

The actual article is quite good but the HN title is quite miserable in summarizing what the article is actually about.

As a meteorologist with a PhD in solar energy modelling, currently working as a quant developer in the energy industry: I hate to break it to you but I don't think this information is anything new.
