Ask HN: Review my startup - www.FollowProSports.com
A couple of weeks ago I was watching The Masters tournament and started compiling a Twitter list of the top 100 PGA Tour pros. I created a test webpage and added the widget to it. That was interesting watching the tour pros comment before and after their rounds, but I soon found myself wanting more information. I added two more widgets beside the first, one to follow the hashtag #TheMasters...

I like the idea of letting people post notes before asking them to sign up. Until I get that setup I may just have a demo account that anyone can use that gets wiped clean each night. Thoughts either way?
The extra space in the sign-in field is for twitter and facebook sign-in icons once I get them working, which is hopefully in the next week.
rumberg: I agree with you on the design. Thanks for the tip on Open Sans & PT Sans. I hate to have the design follow, but I have to prove the need for the product before too much time and effort are put in on that front.
Great input! Keep it coming...

Post messages to your private archive. Then send them to yourself through scheduled email and text reminders. The MVP is built and I am seeking beta testers to give me feedback. Getting feedback on what works is nice, but I'm very interested to hear what doesn't make sense, why you think it won't work and what you think is missing. I have more features in mind, but they aren't worth building...
What I'm suggesting is more like poll the audience in Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. While you would think that phoning a friend or reducing the answers to 50/50 odds would give you the best chances, polling the audience returns a correct answer 91% of the time.
I'll accept all ideas to improve the existing product, but only those that are vetted through both the community and me will be implemented.
It won't succeed if everyone is a chef. I don't think it will succeed if I am the only chef either. So I aim to find a happy medium.
Ask HN: Will crowd-source-coding work?
I just finished reading the Frustrated post by iamjonlee and have to agree that misery loves company! Look at all of the responses. I feel jon's pain. Judging by the responses there seems to be many failures before reaching success. So the message is persistence...While I'm not ready to call my latest venture a failure by any means, it is much slower to pick up then I thought when I began...
It's more fun to code then to dig into that research so we'll see where this takes us first.
Ask HN: Does HN keep a list of newly launched websites?
I couldn't find such a list on HN or searching Google so I created a prototype today. It's basic, but something that could be very useful and interesting. I'd like to grow the list. If you have a site that has launched recently or will be launching soon then send it to me and I'll put it on the site. uStew.com
Submitted site to TechCrunch, Sitepoint and Mashable's Spark of Genius series
Fixed a ton of minor little things and a few major ones - expand/collapse, media uploads, frontend profile editing
Read as much as possible about startups, community management, other entrepreneurs, etc.
Realized how little time there is trying to develop and launch a site after a full work day
