This article is just ragebait. Sam didn't say this. IMO Gizmodo (as a domain) should be banned from this site.

the thing is, you are just making a pedantic asshole out of yourself

hope that helps :)

What the fuck is wrong with France?

I remember, in 2025 friends that were into business said something along the lines of France being socially and economically doomed. I didn't know this much wrong could happen all at once.

Just damn. Riots first. Now absurd laws.

are you perhaps a mod from SO? if not you should apply as one asap.

you sound exactly like the mfs that ruined that forum.

Re:We should be more ambitious with the software we build on Sunday October 25, 2026 @12:48PM (#50233518)
it's not vibecoded in the sense of steve-yegge-dgaf about code.

in the early days when we had shitty AI's, i reviewed all the code.

now i review a less code and more UI (I watch videos of random AI user journeys). It's exhausting but at least I am sure that users see what I intend for them to see on all devices that I want to support.

the website has grown quite complex. cloudflare, hetzner, supabase, openrouter. go codebase... I was originally a python ml engineer :'). anyway, it's a lot and I am doing my best to keep every surface reviewed.

target audience is non-devs. but I think even if you are a dev, you wouldn't be able to do this significantly cheaper than what peachjam costs. the costs are literal rock-bottom for the services, and hopping off peachjam is as easy as connecting your github and just pushing code via github.

Re:We should be more ambitious with the software we build on Sunday October 25, 2026 @01:37AM (#50228651)
I took this advice to the heart.

- Lovable alternative, but x6 cheaper https://peachjam.dev

Ask your mfing clanker. What do you think I am, grok?

Then stop drinking and stop breathing.

You spend more of both air and water than a DeepSeek flash does when with an NVL72.

Show HN: Ctrl+V for Images on LinkedIn

https://paste-for-linkedin.peachjam.app/

Ctrl+V for images doesn't work on LinkedIn. I've made a free extension that fixes this. I've been using this for a few weeks and I'm confident enough to share it here. It saves me a few more seconds of staring at that website.Install, copy an image (or a video), then paste in the post text-box, it just works.

Honestly this has been the most fun week I've had, thanks to this leak. I'm grateful. Fun stuff happened, shitty companies learned the value of capable and fast engineering teams.

All in all, I think this leak increased the value of developers, so I am thankful for your leak.

Re:Fingerprints Are the New Cookies on Monday October 12, 2026 @03:58AM (#50052933)
Privacy people are insane to me.

Some of these guys sound like they erase their fingerprints off the plates when they visit a restaurant, and ask people to forget about them when done talking.

Like it or not, as web gets more complex, it will recognize you more. If you don't want that, just don't use the web - perhaps buy a farm and life off-grid.

I just don't get what's the appeal to this endless damn cat and mouse game.

Re:Kolibri Has Landed: A Sovereign Open-Weight Model on Tuesday October 06, 2026 @03:23AM (#49975308)
I appreciate the license, but I can't run it. :) I really hope it hits openrouter at some point to try it out at least.
Re:I Quit OpenAI Because Its Culture Is Broken on Sunday October 04, 2026 @01:39AM (#49950996)
You quit because you got vested
Re:Kolibri Has Landed: A Sovereign Open-Weight Model on Sunday October 04, 2026 @12:13AM (#49950571)
Is Kolibri available on openrouter so I can test it?
Re:Kolibri Has Landed: A Sovereign Open-Weight Model on Saturday October 03, 2026 @11:31AM (#49945154)
I love how the mere mention of a "sovereign" in LLM's announcement is the declaration of defeat.

This thing is worse than a Qwen3.8 27B.

Re:Gemini 4 Argon on Thursday October 01, 2026 @03:38AM (#49918863)
A vertically integrated AI stack won't fix the misaligned incentives of google execs.

AI is strangling their other major business and they don't like that. Unless Google sacrifices that branch of income, they won't put their full force behind AI.

Re:The AI Race Just Got Awkward on Wednesday September 30, 2026 @01:39PM (#49912022)
How exactly will downloaded gguf files bite me later?

Is it going to shut the laptop's lid when i'm not looking and pinch my fingers?

This is fun. I love this. Music choice is perfect lol.
Re:AI Has No Wisdom and Neither Will You on Tuesday September 22, 2026 @10:09AM (#49801559)
Yep.

Just look at the growing gap in traffic accident rates between human and AI driven cars. Humans are losing.

Re:How, Exactly, Could A.I. Kill Us? on Thursday September 17, 2026 @09:07AM (#49740190)
Bullshit.

As long as AI needs a neocloud to do that, that won't happen. This can only happen when AI roughly as small and as widely runnable as a malicious exe attached to a mail.

Before we have Astra-grade, exe-sized AI's runnable on a grandma's laptop, we are safe.

The cheapest possible lovable alternative with all the features. Currently in alpha.

Re:Understanding ChatGPT Work on Monday August 31, 2026 @07:55AM (#49508554)
I use chatgpt work's VM as a CI/CD runner, in addition to my primary one on hetzner. It's a beefy 20GB 9CPU machine, why waste all that precious RAM? :)
Re:ElevenLabs, TwelveLabs, ThirteenLabs on Sunday August 23, 2026 @12:51PM (#49410329)
lol. I was quite disappointed too
This is absolutely nuts!
Re:Cursor launches Origin, GitHub alternative on Tuesday August 18, 2026 @02:00PM (#49349788)

No thanks. I want GitHub alternative, not Cursor with source control attached.
