lmfao your all idiots. this is why stupid shit like this makes it to the top. im going to reddit
Awesome! Soon all our sites will look like bootstrap but now with a variety of different colors. THANKS!! CSS is so hard.
Is CSS honestly that difficult? I mean I see why this could help but this just seems to add another layer of complication. I don't know maybe I'm just being a cynic with all these sorry excuses for technology.
Did Techcrunch get hacked? Lets hope so.
I agree with this. I left school because I realized what I wanted to do and it WASN'T I.T. administration.
I didn't want to end up at a huge corporation wearing a suit and hating my life.
Now I work doing what I love and I'm learning a lot from others using hands on experience.
Eventually I will start my own business which is what I truly want.
If you have a vision and the motivation; and you know you can do it without school, go for it.
I think he gives Ive more power because of his experience with Paul Rand and the Nextstep logo.

In short Paul Rand tells Steve I will make you one design and I will solve your problem. Since then I believe he has given designers (Jon Ive in this case) their space to design whatever they want. Trust in the designer.
Thats what I'm worried about, I was wondering if there was anyway of knowing for sure. The account recovery actually wasn't in Chinese it was Korean. It's looking like a proxy but I'm pissed and ready to take some of my own action.

I need help with this one. I'm not one to sit back, I want to take action. Is there anyway to track this back. The recovery email to my second email address was in chinese. Is there anyway to get this guy.
I can't believe I read even read the first page... It seems like the press is the press, even in the tech world. I doubt this author knows anything about Steve Jobs or Mark Zuckerburg. Maybe the author saw the social network and thought he knew everything about the industry.
I could of also summed this up in a sentence or two. "Kid invents youtube instant and everybody wants to hire him." I don't doubt that he's smart but this article seems a bit ridiculous. It seems like tech stars are the next celebrities. So long to the days of nerds with the neck beard. Oh yeah, and actually making money.
Please excuse the rant, had to let it out.
Arrington seems like a jackass. Why anyone should really care about techcrunch is beyond me. Sure it gets you exposure but there are plenty of much more respectable blogs out there. Also its AOL, they're shit. Not sure if anyone remembers this
http://www.thefastertimes.com/news/2011/06/16/aol-hell-an-ao...I'm sure we'll be better off without gossip on Arrington or techcrunch.
You better believe everyone will hear about this and drop them. Very unprofessional for a grown man to act like a child.

Thanks that puts everything into perspective now, very helpful.
My apologies for not clarifying. I assumed all web-designers or at least most of them already know HTML/CSS. I know HTML/CSS, Javascript, some PHP, some python, some C. I have very basic programming skills.
I'm wondering how I can leave the web designer/developer field and move in a programming community. What steps should I take to emerse myself in the programming world. Knowing to program is obvious but how do I find work being an entry level programmer? It seems like all the jobs out there want pros.

What's the best way to make the switch from web-designer to programmer? Obviously it would be to learn to program, but how would you transition and learn to work in a programming environment after being a web-designer?I know HTML/CSS, Javascript, some PHP, some python, some C. I have very basic programming skills.I'm wondering how I can leave the web designer/developer field and move in to a...
Its amazing we actually got to see an eyewitness of something this historical on tv. The fact that tech had evolved this fast in this man's 96 years of life is amazing in itself. Just imagine going from a time where you didn't have electricity in your home to having a camera recording you. The cigarette ads are irrelevant.
I'm probably in the worst area for any of the jobs I'm looking for. I'm living in Miami, FL. Here we have warehouses and out of touch web designers. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.
Its easy to quit but finding work after is the big question. Do you have any suggestions on where to start? I'm great at HTML/CSS,I can design pretty good UI and I started learning some python now. Should I look for work online?

I have no design freedom at all. Anyone else have a micro managing boss? and how do you deal with it? and is web designing like this at most companies.
