Swamp is awesome. I've moved so much of my agent work to swamp automations
Re:We’re ending production of Chromecast on Tuesday August 06, 2024 @01:48PM (#41173290)
Who even makes a good non-smart tv these days? I'm not going to limit my watching experience just to avoid a tv having apps.
The first two don’t negate a vps option.

3. People greatly over estimate the amount of work it takes to setup a vps, especially with a OS deployment service like Coolify and the like. Takes less than an hour. You act like it’s a full time job when unless you’re app has completely blown up, it’s set once and forget.

Your goal was to rip off a good design. Copy/Paste.
Your aim was to duplicate Linear because that's what you did. Shame on you. This is disgusting.
I'm personally disgusted by it and I'm not associated or even a customer/user of Linear. Also shocked by people not caring.
This sucks. You should be embarrassed for yourself. The blatant ripping off is disgusting. Do better Harshith, this is not it.
Is there anything we can actually do to push back on this? I get we can long term just not buy their products, but it feels like there needs to be more urgent action then that.
It's almost like the term Full Self Driving is a complete lie.
Sure, but if you want people to use it, you could also just spend an additional day to make it look decent instead of expecting a fork to do it.
I personally don’t understand the desire to have an ugly tool just because it’s minimal. You can have minimal and not have it be ugly.

That’s a pretty big requirement.
Re:The process of user-reported bugs is broken on Thursday October 26, 2023 @12:39PM (#38028110)
This is why I use Sentry.

Skill issue.

It works well with a very specific stack of chosen tools. Not to say it won’t scale to others but if you aren’t a react dev using tailwind and shadcn it’s useless for now.
It’s fine but at least try with the ui. It’s like they spent 2 min on it.
Death by 1000 $65/year apps and services.

Sorry but because everything is a subscription it’s harder and harder to justify adding another on the stack.

How is this different than a big brand stealing a design and putting it on a Tshirt? The product in question is a video and it used art without permission.
Re:Reddit Is Down on Wednesday August 02, 2023 @05:26PM (#36977781)
At this point there needs to be a notice when Reddit isn't down.
Re:Firefox has surpassed Chrome on Speedometer on Tuesday July 18, 2023 @05:44PM (#36779500)
Firefox might be fast, but it's majorly lacking in browser APIs these days.
Steve is very clearly stuck in a position where he has to kill 3rd party apps, but you really have to think there was a much better way to go about doing this. His AMA right now is embarrassing.
Re:Apollo will close down on June 30th on Thursday June 08, 2023 @02:30PM (#36246465)
I could see this as a Digg moment for reddit. They've made no effort to put out quality software of their own and will kill some of the best experiences for using Reddit.
Re:Storage on Vercel on Monday May 01, 2023 @01:43PM (#35776423)
Feels like the pricing is very high.
I would have thought this was already the default behavior.
I like Svelte Kit for my UI and backend together since most things I'm building don't need a public API. It makes it easy to work full stack.
Re:Falling birth rate not due to less desire to have children on Thursday January 12, 2023 @11:11AM (#34355710)
It feels pretty obvious that everyone is crunched financially by the ruling class.
Trump said he would release information but ultimately backed down and didn't, so no I don't think he deserves any credit for lying about about something else.
Re:Apollo Layoffs on Thursday December 15, 2022 @06:48PM (#34007500)
This company has been pretty dysfunctional since the Meteor days.
